My mom was born in 1924. When she was a teenager she wanted to go to the movies with her friends. Her parents were very strict Protestant Dutch immigrants. Her mom said that moving pictures were evil. That the people who made them and performed for them led deviant lifestyles, and that by going to the movies, people were supporting that lifestyle. She didn't want my mom to go to the movies. (However she considered stage plays to be ok.) So of course my mom being a typical rebellious teenager would sneak off to see movies with her friends and hide it from my grandma.

I remember my mom telling me this and thinking how funny it was that my grandma thought that movies were evil.

Now I am rethinking that. I think Grandma was on to something.

I used to love watching movies and TV.

Now, not so much.

The Political View?

I thought is was just The View.

Last time I saw this show was year ago in a doctor's office waiting room.

Blaaaaaach!

Had to find a chair that faced away from the TV.

Vaccinated people all wearing masks.

But not the elites at the desk. They're not wearing masks. Only the peons in the audience have to wear a mask. Even though they are "vaccinated"

Where's my barf bag?

I saw the original 1975 version of The Stepford Wives and they had the woman record a bunch of words onto a dictation cassette and then used it for the replacement robot wife.

Guess it's a real thing now.
