Well, you see if a company has a CEO that is so stupid and they are running everything, the likelihood of their shitheadedness will eventually be reflected in their share price. (Zero) like Enron, or for another more current example, Evergrande.

 

They lead the companies they run into bankruptcy.

Shares need to be borrowed from an account with margin approval first, then sold. Sometimes shares cannot be borrowed or are so over-lent that a short-squeeze will occur Like GME in January. Then you're screwed. Always use a stop order to close out your fucked up trades.
