Anon that spelled “fvck”, said it was the Old English way of spelling it, was close, it was classical Latin

Kek, let me check on that

There was no letter U in the alphabet. Well, that’s not the entire story. ==There was the sound for the letter we call U, but it didn’t look like U. It looked like V.=•The Classical Latin alphabet had only 23 letters, not the 26 that we have today. (This is why the W looks like a double V but is pronounced like a double U. Learn more about the history of W here.)

For a very long time, U and V were allographs. What’s an allograph? An allograph is a variation of a letter in another context. Uppercase and lowercase letters are allographs. Before the use of the letter U, the shape V stood for both the vowel U and the consonant V. In the picture below you can see the letter V used in places were it would be pronounced as a U.

The letters begin to look different in the Gothic alphabet in 1386; however the use of the u was not widespread. When scribes did use a u, it was in the middle of words, e.g. save was saue, but upon was vpon. It wasn’t until printing standardized letter shapes in the 1600s that the letter U became regularly used. First, in the 1500s, Italian printers started distinguishing between the vowel U and the consonant V. However, the V continued to be used for the U sound at the beginning of words. In 1629, the capital U became an accepted letter when Lazare Zetzner, a printer, started using it in his print shop.

The letter Z was almost removed from the alphabet. Read Z’s story here.

Covld you still read if we vsed v for u?

Damn I really liked those Raids

Mayorkas: No More Workplace Raids to Arrest Illegal Aliens

Rick Moran

Upcoming news: Mayorka first treasoness Bidan admin put to death

Courtesy of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is serious about dismantling the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. On Tuesday, the secretary sent a memo to ICE Director Tae Johnson telling him to stop any mass worksite deportation raids, calling them a “misallocation of resources.”

“The deployment of mass worksite operations, sometimes resulting in the simultaneous arrest of hundreds of workers, was not focused on the most pernicious aspect of our country’s unauthorized employment challenge: exploitative employers,” Mayorkas said in the memo.

Mayorkas sent a directive out last month that banned ICE agents from using immigration status alone as a determining factor in deciding if an illegal alien should be deported. So the workplace raids wouldn’t have resulted in many deportations anyway.

Fox News:

However, the Biden administration has dramatically narrowed ICE’s scope for enforcement, including rules that limit ICE officers to focusing on recent border crossers, aggravated felons and national security threats. That guidance coincided with a significant drop in arrests and deportations. Critics have accused the Biden administration of gutting ICE as part of a broader, more lax approach to illegal immigration that has encouraged an enormous migrant surge at the southern border.

“After the issuance of today’s memorandum effectively ending worksite enforcement – on top of other radical policy changes that are getting hard to count – one thing is clear: Secretary Mayorkas is the biggest disaster for border security and immigration enforcement in American history,” RJ Hauman, head of government relations for the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) told Fox News. “Since the Biden administration cannot abolish ICE outright, Mayorkas is destroying it from within.”

By the time Biden and Mayorkas are through with the agency, there won’t be anything left to salvage.

The purpose of the memo is not to find and punish employers who are breaking the law by exploiting workers, but rather to offer another way for illegals to evade deportation.

The memo, which focuses on protecting illegal immigrants rather than directly going after unscrupulous employers, orders to agency to develop plans to “alleviate or mitigate the fear” that witnesses or victims of labor exploitation may have regarding cooperation with law enforcement. It says the plans should include plans to provide protection from deportation for those who witness or are victims of “abusive and exploitative labor practices.”

It also calls for ICE to identify any policies that “may impede non-citizens workers, including victims of forced labor, from asserting their workplace rights” and to present recommendations to change them.

Any employer who knowingly employs illegal aliens should be punished to the full extent of the law. Not only are they exploiting the workers, but they are skewing the labor market by offering substandard wages.

But the Biden administration doesn’t care if illegals are working, only that employers are obeying labor laws. That’s a fine and noble goal except isn’t it putting the cart before the horse? Shouldn’t the government enforce immigration law first and then worry about unfair labor practices?

Never try to make sense of government policy.

From China With Love: Biden Bought Chinese Drones Over Pentagon Objections

Matt Margolis

New questions are being raised about the Biden administration’s controversial decision to buy Chinese drones and drone parts following the revelation that the decision was made over the objections of the Pentagon.

According to internal government documents reviewed byThe Washington Times, the Pentagon warned against the purchase of surveillance drones manufactured by a Chinese drone-making company Da Jiang Innovations in July, citing cybersecurity concerns, but the Biden administration went ahead with the purchase anyway. Biden’s Department of Homeland Security approved the transaction.

Da Jiang Innovations (DJI) was blacklisted by the Trump administration for national security reasons.

The Secret Service, which purchased the drones, refused to comment. A spokeswoman said in a statement that “in order to maintain operational security, the U.S. Secret Service does not discuss operational means and methods.”

The transaction occurred three days after the Pentagon’s warning that DJI drones “pose potential threats to national security.”

The FBI also acquired blacklisted DJI drones this year. An anonymous FBI official told the Washington Times that the FBI “cannot comment on specific operational equipment procured by the FBI, but can assure the public that the FBI, as a general matter, takes all necessary measures to ensure the security and safety of its operations.”

Former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe blasted the Biden administration’s decision.

“The Biden administration, through the FBI and Secret Service, purchased from DJI, which is a company that the Trump administration actually flagged in 2017,” Ratcliffe said on Fox News. “Department of Homeland Security said that that specific company was using its drones for the purpose of providing information on U.S. critical infrastructure to the Chinese Communist Party. And that was moderate confidence that that was taking place, which is why our administration took all of those out and basically advanced a policy where we wouldn’t use that Chinese technology.”

Some sources claim that the DJI drones may have been acquired in order to analyze them and reverse-engineer the technology, but there’s no indication that the drones were procured for research purposes.

The blatant disregard for national security raises serious questions, particularly in light of Joe Biden’s son Hunter’s long-established shady business ties to China, and his own knowledge of it. Is Joe Biden ignoring national security in favor of personal profit for his family? The evidence keeps stacking up.

Top O’ the Briefing

Happy Wednesday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. Very few people look good in a serape.

These are truly extraordinary times. Not the good kind of extraordinary either. While we are being subjected to the worst president in the history of this once-great Republic, standingright behind him waiting for the job is the most unlikeable woman in America not named Hillary Clinton.

Purported Vice President Kamala Harris has largely been kept out of the spotlight by the cabal running joe Biden’s brain. That’s a bit of a mystery since almost anytime she gets near a camera it distracts everyone from the fact that her boss is an unmitigated disaster. You’d think they would want to get her as much face time with the American public as possible.

Kamala Harris is so unpopular, even with her own party, that she had to drop out of the 2020 Democratic presidential race in 2019. Marianne Williamson lasted longer than Harris did, and she spends most of her free time huffing essential oils with her cats.

Harris is a virtual non-talent who could only have reached the heights she has by starting in California. Democrats don’t have to be competent in the Golden State, they merely have to meet the right money people early in their careers and success is practically guaranteed. The 2020 presidential campaign was the first time she had to compete away from the comfort of deep-blue California and she was a spectacular flame-out.

Like most modern Democrats who have been very successful, Harris is still a bitter ingrate who would prefer to bash the history of the United States because it makes them popular with the commie crowd.

A.J. wrote yesterday about a speech Harris gave, which was heavy on the “America Worst” theme:

Echoing revisionists on a serious topic she knows little about, Harris denounced European explorers who discovered the Americas during her speech.

“Since 1934, every October, the United States has recognized the voyage of the European explorers who first landed on the shores of the Americas,” she said, as if quoting from the anti-American writings of Howard Zinn. “But that is not the whole story. That has never been the whole story. Those explorers ushered in a wave of devastation for Tribal nations — perpetrating violence, stealing land, and spreading disease. We must not shy away from this shameful past, and we must shed light on it and do everything we can to address the impact of the past on Native communities today.”

Have some more whine, why don’t you, Madame Vice President.

The most Kamala Harris-y thing to happen so far this year has to be the painfully awkward video of her talking to some kids about space. Harris isn’t relatable to Americans of any age, so they hired child actors to play her rapt audience. The whole thing was so “nails on a chalkboard bad” that Team Biden’s Brain is insisting it wasn’t involved with the cheesy waste of taxpayer money.

In June I wrote that the mainstream media can’t spin away Harris’s constant cringe-worthy behavior. Bless their hearts, they keep trying. Her scripted, manufactured moments — like the video — are rough to watch. Her genuine moments are even worse, full of condescension and cackling whenever she is caught off guard, which is often.

Even hardcore partisan Democratic operatives must spend most of their days saying, “Why in the hell did we pick these two?” to themselves on a loop.

I really miss the days when House Speaker Granny Boxwine was the worst one over there.

Everything Isn’t Awful

Thats the problem believing there are essential and non essential workers, Fauci and Birx made that up, so they could justify destroying the country. They obviously need their particular essential workers to serve them.

Everyone involved in this plan should be humg from the highest tree! And a statement from Potus should gonout on EMS, “NEVER AGAIN will any person by deemed essential and nonessential”. All human life is precious and will be honored!

That was great to hear and such a comforting message at the end. I’ve always just believed in being friendly. When I mention something I do it casually like, “what do you think about such and such”, can normally take the reading whether to go further. Its worked really well, people at first are afraid to reveal what they think, and i’ll say first, “personally I thinks its nuts or something”, they ease up and start spilling their thoughts and feelings.

Its the SJWs that have shut them down. I call them EDSJWs (emotionally disordered social justice weirdos)

Well knowing what we know is sometimes a bit hard not yo get pessimistic.

If the conversation gets too intense I say “you don’t want to know what I know”. Thevperson becomes quiet and they dont ask what I meant. Im waiting for someone to say, “tell me more”

Sometimes I say “i know a lot more about that subject” same response. Still waiting!

Dude you’re a shill, go back to twitter and stop posting this

While many have been blaming Biden and even former President Barrack Obama for the recent crisis in Afghanistan, it's true that Baradar was released in 2018 from a prison in Pakistani after the U.S. government under the Trump administration mounted pressure on the country.

Following his release, Mike Pompeo, the then- Secretary of State, even met with the fugitive leader in 2020 in a bid to start peace talks. Pompeo's meeting with Baradar was also covered by the press and the two can also be seen prominently in a photograph.

The claim started doing the rounds just a day after Baradar's return to the war-torn country. The origin lies in a meme targeting the Trump administration for playing an integral role Baradar. The meme claiming Trumping role, read: "In 2018 Trump helped Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar get released from prison. In 2020, Trump's Secretary of State met with Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar. In 2021, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar appears set to become the new president of Afghanistan under Taliban rule."

However, it wasn't only the Trump administration that helped Baradar's release. American and Pakistani agents captured Baradar in 2010 and since then he was put up in a prison in Pakistan. For years, the then Afghan President Hamid Karzai had been urging the Pakistani government to release Baradar as he believed that it would have helped in starting peace talks.

Twitter

Karzai's efforts didn't succeed but after the United States started initiating peace talks with the Taliban, they too started putting pressure on Pakistan to release Baradar. Finally, the Pakistani government gave in and released Baradar in 2018.

The following year, Zalmay Khalilzad was selected by Trump to initiate peace talks. Khalilzad had even said at that time that the U.S. Institute for Peace had requested Baradar's release and that he wasn't a terror leader but was more pro-peace.

The next year, Pompeo met Baradar, which he tweeted to mark the beginning of the peace talks. The same photo became the subject of the meme claiming that Trump got Baradar released and now he is going to become the president of Afghanistan.

Its those “IQ” and “competency tests they did on certain subjects” annually, wouldnt be surprised if there are personality profiles they wanted to target. They did these every year in school, at least since 4th grade to my memory.

Those tests must contain a lot more results than we know.

Go back and see tge whole story of why Brezindki pushed Carter to start tge Trilateral commissions. One of thr famous quotes from brezinski when he watched all the youth protesting Viet Nam, “the youth have too much freedom if speech” (we’ve got shut that down). Their plan was to target Education, Unions and Politics (not sure of third one)

Anyways if you were in school in kate 70s, 80s and 90s i think free thinkers and patriotic Americans were targeted to shut it down.

They did a great job im education, now they are brain cintrolled zombies, unions got more violent and political, and politicians got bribed and blackmailed.

Talented or exceptional youth had to be destroyed, because you wouldnt go along tp get along
