Agents Seize Large Quantity of Fentanyl at Checkpoint

TUCSON, Ariz. – U.S. Border Patrol agents working the Interstate 19 Immigration Checkpoint near Amado, Arizona, seized over 50 pounds of suspected fentanyl and arrested the driver of the vehicle Monday morning.

Tucson Sector agents encountered a 33-year-old U.S. citizen female driving a white Ford F150. A canine alert along with imaging technology led agents to discover a hidden compartment in the bed of the pickup that contained multiple packages of blue pills.

The pills tested positive for the characteristics of fentanyl and weighted more than 53 pounds.

Agents transferred custody of the suspected fentanyl and the suspect to the Drug Enforcement Administration, who will be pursuing prosecution.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials welcome assistance from the community. Individuals can report suspicious activity to the Border Patrol and remain anonymous by calling 1-877-872-7435 toll free. Reporting illicit activity could result in saving someone’s life.

Nigeria arrests 8,634 drug traffickers in 8 months, seizures worth N100bn – NDLEA boss

Nigeria arrested no fewer than 8,634 suspected drug traffickers from January to August 2021, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig.-Gen. Buba Marwa (rtd), has disclosed.

Marwa told the Human Rights, Humanitarian Affairs and Social Committee of the UN General Assembly in New York on Tuesday that NDLEA also made seizures of more than100 billion naira in drugs and cash over the period.

“Our consistent targeting of drug trafficking organisations has resulted in the arrest of 8,634 suspected drug traffickers and the seizure of over 100 billion Naira in cash and drugs,” he said.

“Perpetrators will go through the criminal justice system, with their fundamental human rights being strictly upheld.

“Against the backdrop of the strong linkage between illicit drug consumption and insecurity, it is worthy of note that Nigeria made its first seizure of 74.119 kg of Captagon brand of amphetamine, presumably destined for use, to fuel insurgency and other violent crimes and criminalities, which Nigeria is currently grappling with.

“Nigeria is happy to report that the EU funded, UNODC sponsored Cannabis Cultivation Survey is expected to bring to the fore the full extent of cannabis cultivation in Nigeria and make it easier to target measures to contain this perennial menace,” Marwa said.

The UN Correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the NDLEA boss thanked the international partners for supporting Nigeria’s fight against drug abuse and trafficking.

Marwa said the unexpected emergence of COVID -19 pandemic, no doubt, had further accentuated the scourge of drug trafficking and related crimes globally.

“It is worthy of mention here that one of the challenges of the pandemic is the proliferation of online sale of drug cookies and use of courier services to move illicit drugs.

“However, we were able to intercept, trace and dismantle most of the drug cells involved.

“This constitutes a clarion call for all nations of the world to unite in adversity by taking concerted and well-coordinated actions at national, regional and international levels to address and counter the world drug problems, through evolving drug control policies, effective crime prevention nechanisms and complete overhaul of the criminal justice system.”

Georgia Judge Ends Effort to Audit 2020 Election Ballots in Fulton County

It looked like finally, a judge was going to allow an audit of the results of absentee ballots in Georgia’s Fulton County from the 2020 Election. Unfortunately, today the judge dismissed the case.

Henry County Superior Court Chief Judge Brian Amero has dismissed a lawsuit that alleged fraud in Georgia’s most populous county during the 2020 election.

The lawsuit, which was originally filed back in December, sought a review of roughly 147,000 absentee ballots in search of illegitimate votes.

In his order dismissing the case, Amero claimed the Georgia voters who brought the lawsuit “failed to allege a particularized injury” and didn’t have the legal standing to claim their constitutional rights had been violated.

“A judge on Wednesday dismissed a lawsuit that alleged fraud in Georgia’s most populous county during the 2020 election,” the Independent reported. “The suit sought a review of some 147,000 absentee ballots in search of illegitimate votes, but no evidence emerged to justify such a broad search, the judge said.”

With prices surging worldwide for heating oil, natural gas and other fuels, the U.S. government said Wednesday it expects households to see their heating bills jump as much as 54% compared to last winter.

The sharpest increases are likely for homes that use propane, which account for only 5% of U.S. households, but others are also likely to see big increases.

Homes that use natural gas, which make up nearly half of all U.S. households, may spend $746 this winter, 30% more than a year ago. That could make this winter’s heating bills the highest for them since the winter of 2008-2009.

The second-most typical heating source for homes is electricity, making up 41% of the country, and those households could see a more modest 6% increase to $1,268. Homes using heating oil, which make up 4% of the country, could see a 43% increase — more than $500 — to $1,734.

Nearly 42,000 Sources of Toxic “Forever Chemicals” Put US Drinking Water at Risk: Study

Bolstering calls for stronger PFAS regulations and more testing, a new analysis released Tuesday finds nearly 42,000 potential sources of toxic “forever chemicals” that could contaminate drinking water in communities throughout the United States.

In their peer-reviewed study, which was published in a special issue of Water Science, Environmental Working Group (EWG) scientists examined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Enforcement and Compliance History Online database to identify potential sources of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) pollution in the nation’s surface and drinking water.

According to their investigation, solid waste landfills, wastewater treatment plants, electroplaters and metal finishers, and petroleum refiners were the facilities that appeared most often as possible sources of PFAS contamination.

Dubbed “forever chemicals” because they don’t break down and can persist in the environment and bioaccumulate over time, PFAS are a class of synthetic compounds that have been linked to adverse health outcomes, including a weakened immune system, reproductive and developmental harms, and an increased susceptibility to cancer, among other negative effects.

EWG researchers point out that discharges of PFAS with industrial wastewater are a major driver of surface and drinking water pollution—putting the health of tens of millions of Americans in jeopardy. Despite these risks, the paper notes, the vast majority of water systems nationwide lack both the technology and the funds to filter out forever chemicals.

“It is critical that the EPA start regulating PFAS—now,” David Andrews, the lead author of the study and a senior scientist at EWG, said in a statement. “Every community in the U.S. is likely affected by PFAS contamination, but those living near or downstream from industrial facilities may be more at risk.”

“Our investigation identifies a huge number of potential sources of contamination,” Andrews continued. “It also provides a framework for deciding where and what to test so we can end releases into the environment.”

The paper includes case studies of data available from California and Michigan, which show that PFAS pollution is common at a variety of sites, heightening the importance of widespread testing for forever chemicals in wastewater.

“The results from states like Michigan show there is a wide variety of sources of PFAS in surface water,” said Andrews. “Many landfills and industrial sites release PFAS at detectable concentrations that may exceed state limits or health guidelines for PFAS in water.”

He added that “it is urgent that ongoing releases of PFAS be identified. We need to stop nonessential uses of PFAS and use filters to reduce these compounds from our water.”

Getting forever chemicals out of the country’s water supplies “remains a nationwide challenge,” EWG stressed, “but it’s one that can be met through comprehensive tests of surface water and drinking water, along with tests of wastewater from potential PFAS sources.”

In July, the U.S. House passed the PFAS Action Act of 2021, which would improve the federal oversight and facilitate the cleanup of forever chemicals, but the U.S. Senate has yet to take up the legislation.

In an e-mail sent on January 15th 2021, Fauci flagged a New York Post article highlighting 23 people who died in Norway after being administered the Pfizer vaccine.

“Yikes,” Grady simply replies after being forwarded the article with a note that simply read “fyi”.

The tone is markedly different from other e-mails between the couple who work together – an issue that has raised questions over the propriety of their roles and whether or not a conflict of interest exists. While Grady was overseeing “bioethics” for the U.S. government, Fauci was doling out cash to Wuhan Lab collaborators like Peter Daszak among others.

Another email seen by The National Pulse displays her reaction to the launch of an action figure in the image of her husband, Fauci.

“It is endless…” she writes before adding:

“You have been immortalized”

Fauci originally shared an article from The Hill – Fauci Gets His Own Action Figure – that was flagged by Greg Folkers, the Chief of Staff in the Office of the Director at Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

The back and forths shed some light into the day-to-day working relationship between Fauci and Grady, who often exchange e-mails, with Fauci even sharing some messages not meant for Grady to his wife.

It is also an insight into the pair’s priorities and their flippancy regarding vaccine-related deaths.

Criticism of left-wing journalists and "human rights defenders" will be purged from the platform

Left-wing social media platform Facebook has acquiesced to the demands of corporate journalists and collectively added all journalists and left-wing “human rights defenders” to the “involuntary public figure” category, which in practice shields individuals from all criticism on the website.

Reuters reported on Wednesday that Facebook “will now count activists and journalists as ‘involuntary’ public figures and so increase protections against harassment and bullying targeted at these groups.”

The report also noted that “Facebook’s Global Head of Safety Antigone Davis said the company was also expanding the types of attacks that it would not allow on public figures on its sites, as part of an effort to reduce attacks disproportionately faced by women, people of color and the LGBTQ community.”

Facebook has consistently complied with the demands of far-left activists and corporate journalists. Recent testimony from a “whistleblower” did not question the website’s censorship practices, but instead demanded that the corporation be given more power to restrict speech.

In late September, Facebook’s partisan political activity led Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to direct the Secretary of State’s office to investigate Facebook for alleged interference in local elections:

Nick Xenophon says Chinese telecommunications company Huawei was “unfairly maligned” when it was banned from Australia’s 5G rollout as the former Senator considers a fresh tilt at federal parliament.

Mr Xenophon, who retired from federal politics after the 2018 South Australian election, has flagged the possibility of running at the next election.

Confirming to Sky News Australia that if he decided to run, he would do so as an Independent, Mr Xenophon defended his links to telecommunications giant Huawei.

The former South Australian Senator’s legal firm, Xenophon Davis, represented Huawei following the decision to block its involvement from Australia’s 5G system.

Mr Xenophon said while Huawei was “no longer our client”, it was still entitled to legal representation.

“They’re no longer our client, they have not been our client for a number of months now,” Mr Xenophon said.

“But I believe that people in a country such as Australia, a liberal democracy, there’s the rule of law and you’re entitled to haver robust legal representation.

“I was not a lobbyist; I did not lobby politicians on this it was about legal issues involved.”

In a statement released by its Australian arm, Huawei said Xenophon Davis had been appointed as “strategic counsel” for the company.

“Huawei Australia has appointed law firm Xenophon-Davis as its new strategic counsel tasked with helping to defend our company locally against malicious and false attacks designed to cause us reputational damage,” the statement from December 2, 2019 said.

“Working with our existing Corporate Affairs team Xenophon-Davis will help us challenge false and misleading statements made about Huawei by entities with strong vested interests and will also help provide a more fact-based conversation in the national media.

Taiwan is a democratic self-ruled island with robust unofficial diplomatic and military ties with the United States and other western democracies, but China sees Taiwan as a rogue province it plans to reunify before 2050 or sooner, by military force if necessary.

Some experts have predicted that China could move to seize Taiwan before the end of 2030, and the Taiwanese defense minster said last week that China already has the ability to launch an invasion against Taiwan, but is currently deterred by the cost and consequences.

Ratcliffe said he predicted that China will continue to get more aggressive against Taiwan over the next three years until they perceive there is stronger leadership in the White House that will stand up or repel it from taking action. He predicted China would try flying into Taiwan’s sovereign airspace next, not just its ADIZ.

It would not surprise me if their next step is to test the reaction to planes flying into Taiwan’s sovereign airspace. I think they’ll just continue to test. I don’t have any insight at this point in terms of when they might, but I would just say that I expect them to be more aggressive for the next three years, because until the Biden administration stands up to their aggression and provocation, why would they stop?

During his administration, President Joe Biden has muddled U.S. messaging on Taiwan multiple times.

In an August interview with ABC News, Biden suggested the U.S. would defend Taiwan if it were attacked — a stance that was a departure from U.S. policy of “strategic ambiguity” on Taiwan meant to deter Chinese aggression against Taiwan but maintain a peaceful status quo. The State Department was forced to walk back the president’s remarks.

“Have You Been Vaccinated Yet?! You’re Dangerous” – Terry McAuliffe Loses His Temper When Asked About His Stance on Parents Being Involved in Their Child’s Education

Virginia Democrat gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe snapped at a Virginia Rising official when confronted on his claims parents should not be in charge of their child’s education.

Last month during a debate with Republican Glenn Youngkin, McAuliffe said he doesn’t believe parents should have a say in what their kids are learning in school.

“The parents had the right to veto books… also take them off the shelves,” McAuliffe said. “I’m not going to let parents come into schools and actually take books out and make their own decisions.”

“I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach,” McAuliffe added.

McAuliffe snapped at a conservative operative and told them they were a danger to him because they weren’t wearing a mask.

“Who do you think should be in charge of education, if not Virginia parents?” the Virginia Rising tracker asked McAuliffe.

“Have you been vaccinated yet?! That’s the question I want to know….You should have a mask on! You’re dangerous here,” McAuliffe said while pointing his finger and scolding the tracker.
