easy , instead of using coal to heat shit up, use magma.
would involve either building a power plant inside of, or very near to an active volcano and/or make pipes out of a material that could transport liquid magma at temperature to the plant. you would need to not let the magma cool down too much, before you divert it back to the volcano, otherwise you'd have a bunch of stone on your hands.
