'White Is Not Right': Walmart Training Manual For White Employees Leaked by Whistleblower

"Walmart has launched a critical race theory training program that denounces the United States as a 'white supremacy system' and teaches white hourly-wage workers that they are guilty of 'white supremacy thinking' and 'internalized racial superiority,'" Christopher Rufo reports.

According to a cache of internal documents I have obtained from a whistleblower, Walmart launched the program in 2018 in partnership with the Racial Equity Institute, a Greensboro, North Carolina, consulting firm that has worked extensively with universities, government agencies, and private corporations. The program is based on the core principles of critical race theory, including "intersectionality," "internalized racial oppression," "internalized racial inferiority," and "white anti-racist development." Since the program's launch, Walmart has trained more than 1,000 employees and made the program mandatory for executives and recommended for hourly wage workers in Walmart stores. When reached for comment, Walmart confirmed that the company has "engaged REI for a number of training sessions since 2018" and has "found these sessions to be thought provoking and constructive."

The program begins with the claim that the United States is a "white supremacy system," designed by white Europeans "for the purpose of assigning and maintaining white skin access to power and privilege." American history is presented as a long sequence of oppressions, from the "construction of a 'white race'" by colonists in 1680 to President Obama's stimulus legislation in 2009, "another race neutral act that has disproportionately benefited white people." Consequently, the Walmart program argues, white Americans have been subjected to "racist conditioning" that indoctrinates them into "white supremacy," or the view "that white people and the ideas, thoughts, beliefs, and actions of white people are superior to People of Color and their ideas, thoughts, beliefs, and actions."

Philadelphia to Ban Police Stops For Minor Traffic Violations Because of 'Equity'

If you have a broken brake light or headlight in Philadelphia, you no longer have to worry that you’ll be pulled over by police. The city council just passed a measure that would prevent the police from stopping anyone for a host of “minor” traffic offenses.

The impetus for the change comes from a single study performed by the Defender Association of Philadelphia. The group gives free legal representation to defendants in the city. They found that a disproportionate number of black drivers were stopped compared to white drivers.

WHYY:

Black drivers represented 72% of the stops with an arrest rate of 1%, according to Bradford-Grey. Only 15% of the stops were white drivers with a .98% arrest rate.

When it came to tickets issued because of these stops, Black drivers made up 9% of tickets while white drivers made up 14% of fines issued.

“When they stopped white drivers, they were for more legitimate purposes and they actually did things that advance those public safety measures,” said former Chief Defender Keir Bradford-Grey testified Wednesday at a hearing convened by the City Council’s Committee on Public Safety. The hearing drew many supporters, including Philadelphia Police Department officials who had questioned the bill in the past.

The police are happy with the law because it makes their jobs safer and frees them up to tackle more serious criminal activity. But viewing a list of infractions that will no longer be enforced raises serious questions.

Driving with one brake light can be distracting. The driver has to figure out if it’s a broken tail light or a busted directional signal. And have you ever been driving down a two-lane road at night and a car with just one headlight approaches? Chances are, the other driver has their brights on and they’re shining right into your eyes.

Driving with a bumper barely or poorly attached is an accident waiting to happen. Of course, obscuring the license plates is a possible sign the driver doesn’t want to be identified.

“I’m confident that this bill will be able to address some of the equality issues that we’ve faced in the city of Philadelphia. I think it will put us in a position where hopefully we’ll see significantly less stops as it relates to these types of traffic violations,” said Councilmember Isaiah Thomas, who introduced the measure last October and has personally experienced discrimination behind the wheel.

I’m glad the bill will address “equality issues.” How about public safety? Does the bill make driving in Philadelphia any safer, regardless of the color of the driver’s skin?

The argument “it doesn’t make it any more dangerous” is a cop-out. Everything is relative until you or a family member is involved in a serious accident because of a poorly attached bumper or a broken tail light.

When we downgrade issues like public safety to achieve some nebulous goal of “equity,” the health and welfare of all residents will suffer.

How RINO’s Cotton and McConnell Secretly Plotted Against Trump to Undermine His Election-Fraud Claims, New Book Says it All

A new book claims that Republican Senators Tom Cotton of Arkansas, and Mitch McConnell of Kentucky plotted together to undermine the election fraud claims of President Donald J. Trump.

David Drucker wrote that both privately maneuvered in ways to ensure that Trump didn’t overturn the election in his new book.

According to the book, Cotton even brought forward a plan to announce that he opposed Trump’s efforts.

The new book, “In Trump’s Shadow” by journalist David Ducker, had an excerpt published in Vanity Fair on Monday. The excerpt said they tried behind the scenes to maneuver against the President.

According to Drucker, Cotton and McConnell realized that Trump wanted to try to win enough support from Republican lawmakers to object to the certification of electoral votes in swing states on January 6, thereby overturning Biden’s alleged victory.

Cotton ordered his aides to investigate and prepare a memo, which made clear that Vice President Pence did not, as Trump claimed, have the power to overturn the Electoral College Results, Drucker stated in the book.

Cotton had planned to publish an op-ed article in a local Arkansas paper detailing why he would not oppose certification over Trump’s election-fraud claims, Drucker stated.

However Cotton’s strategy to go against the President with McConnell was derailed when Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri offered support to oppose Biden’s election certification.

Reports began to swirl that Senator Ted Cruz, and others would also oppose certification, something McConnell stated later would lead US Democracy to “enter a death spiral.” McConnell is also a spineless coward who has fought more to keep his position than to help the American people.

Drucker wrote that “after some discussion, McConnell urged Cotton to speed up his timeline for announcing his opposition.”

On January 3, Cotton still butthurt that Trump refused to make him CIA Director, would put out a statement saying he would not oppose the certification of the results on January 6. His State of Arkansas had crushed Biden in the general election. Trump reaching 62.4 percent of the vote to only Biden’s 34.8 percent. So naturally the move by Cotton was a move that will make his reelection bid almost impossible in the state, showing his true colors.

Alberta Judge gives compelled speech order to anti-lockdown protesters

As part of a probation sentence, three citizens are ordered to share the views of medical experts when they talk about COVID.

Pastor Artur Pawłowski, and his brother Dawid, were in court on Wednesday for disobeying COVID restrictions in the province of Alberta. The judge punished them with fines and community service for “attempting to be martyrs” by taunting the court in the hope of more prison time. But the details of their punishment is an odd one and one that has frightening censorship implications.

The Pawłowski brothers are part of the Street Church in Calgary and were sentenced alongside Whistle Stop Cafe owner Chris Scott.

The judge said their actions made the already-concerning COVID situation in Alberta worse. He also noted that the brothers had a “fervent desire” to be martyred by taunting the court, hoping for a longer sentence.

“They are on the wrong side of science,” said Court of Queen’s Bench Justice Adam Germain.

“They are also on the wrong side of common sense.”

Instead of jail time, the judge punished them with fines, community service, and compelled speech.

Artur was ordered to pay a $23,000 fine and undergo 18 months of probation and Dawid was slapped with $10,000 and 12 months probation. Each of the brothers were also ordered to complete 120 hours of community service at charities, shelters, and food banks, as long as it is not for their own street ministries.

Scott must serve 18 months probation and pay $20,000 in fines.

The court also gave a compelled speech order and told them to indicate that their opinion contradicts medical experts when they speak about COVID restrictions and vaccines, whether they talk about COVID in person or online.

The judge said that, if they’re going to go against the official narrative or COVID, they have to share a disclaimer that their beliefs may not be held by medical experts when posting online.

The judge ruled, according to CBC, “that if the three pandemic-denying, anti-mask leaders continued to preach to their followers, they must also present the perspective of medical experts.”

Australian charity probed over alleged exploitation of Kenyan children

An Australian charity that claims to save vulnerable children from human trafficking is being investigated by Kenyan police over allegations it exploited local children to raise funds from overseas donors.

Project Rescue Children, which was founded in 2017 by former Australian soldier Adam Whittington, has also been accused of making a series of false claims about a rescue centre it funds in the Kenyan city of Kisumu. Kenyan police found the centre was “not registered, or operational.”

The Queensland-based charity also took credit on social media for rescuing 96 children trafficked into Kenya from Uganda, but was found to have had no involvement in the operation, according to an investigation by Kenya’s Directorate of Criminal Investigations.

The investigation into Project Rescue Children was launched by Kenya’s most senior law enforcement official, Inspector General Hillary Mutyambai, following a complaint in March.

It is not the first time Mr Whittington has attracted controversy. He spent almost four months in a Lebanese prison in 2016, when he and a 60 Minutes crew were arrested in Beirut over a bungled operation to reunite two children with their Australian mother.

Pennsylvania School Boards Association quits national group over letter calling parents 'domestic terrorists'

The Pennsylvania School Boards Association has voted to quit the National School Boards Association, writing that a recent NSBA letter to the Biden administration that likened protesting parents to "domestic terrorists" was the impetus for its decision.

"The most recent national controversy surrounding a letter to President Biden suggesting that some parents should be considered domestic terrorists was the final straw," the Pennsylvania association wrote in an internal memo.

In late September, the NSBA wrote to President Joe Biden stating that school board members nationwide were "under an immediate threat" from concerned parents and residents opposed to critical race theory, transgender policies, and COVID-19 mask and vaccine mandates. The letter requested federal assistance in response to incidents of violence at raucous school board protests and alleged threats made against some school board members.

The letter cited more than 20 examples of loud protests against school boards in recent months, as irate parents have confronted school officials over school mask mandates, prolonged school closures during the pandemic, pornographic material being taught in K-12 classrooms, "racist" lessons based on critical race theory, and more.

"As these acts of malice, violence, and threats against public school officials have increased, the classification of these heinous actions could be the equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes," the NSBA told Biden.

In response, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced on Oct. 4 that the Department of Justice is "committed to using its authority and resources" to address alleged threats and violence, drawing fire from critics who said the Biden administration was unfairly targeting concerned parents.

The Pennsylvania School Boards Association is among those critics. The state association wrote that the NSBA's "misguided approach has made our work and that of many school boards more difficult. It has fomented more disputes and cast partisanship in our work on behalf of school directors."

"PSBA abhors the fact that some boards have been met with threats and violence. We are absolutely opposed to such actions. A school board meeting needs to be the model of democracy in action — locally elected officials hearing from the public as local solutions are debated and formulated. … However, attempting to solve the problems with a call for federal intervention is not the place to begin, nor a model for promoting greater civility and respect for the democratic process," the association wrote.

The PSBA said that among the other reasons to dissolve its ties to the national group are that the NSBA "is not focused on bipartisanship, civility and seeking solutions to the internal problems that have plagued the national organization for so long."

"The PSBA Governing Board has directed PSBA staff to develop additional services and resources to meet the ongoing, evolving needs of our membership. We intend to continue to work closely with other state school boards associations and remain hopeful that following this period of substantial tumult for the NSBA, we will find a new national organization ready and able to serve all its member states effectively," the memo concluded.

The Pennsylvania School Boards Association is a nonprofit association of public school boards in the state, representing more than 4,500 school board members. Founded in 1985, it was the first school boards association established in the United States.

Bank of Canada Moving Ahead on Preparing a Digital Currency

The Bank of Canada is hiring a product architect as it continues to move forward with its “contingency plan” for a central bank digital currency (CBDC), leading some to speculate about the potential consequences.

A digital currency is a hot topic south of the border, as the U.S. public awaits the imminent release of a Federal Reserve paper on its own CBDC. While the idea may be new to Americans, the Bank of Canada has been issuing reports on the concept since November 2016.

A year ago, the bank co-authored a report with six other central banks and the Bank of International Settlements to establish foundational principles and core features of a CBDC. In February 2021, the bank published three CBDC proposals: one from the University of Calgary, another from McGill University, and a joint University of Toronto and York University submission.

In an email to The Epoch Times, Bank of Canada spokesman Alex Paterson said the proposals were made to stimulate thought.

“[T]he proposed designs are not intended to be adopted by the Bank. Rather, the Bank will use these reports to inform its thinking and advance public conversation on a central bank digital currency design,” Paterson wrote.

Bank leadership has consistently said it’s only trying to be prepared and a digital currency is not a sure thing. Governor Tiff Macklem told the media in April that the decision ultimately lies with the finance minister, adding, “if we were to issue a digital currency, we wouldn’t stop printing cash.”

Still, the bank is taking steps toward bringing a product to market. In August, it issued a job posting for a product architect for “a program of major social significance to design a contingent system for a central bank digital currency (CBDC), which can be thought of as a banknote, but in digital form.”

According to the posting, part of the job would be to “craft a coherent product architecture and design that will be a fit at a national scale and adaptable for decades.”

Rep. Nancy Mace: FBI Says It Doesn’t ‘Track Acts of Violence’ by Antifa or Black Lives Matter

Nancy Mace (R-SC) noted on Friday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow that the FBI is not tracking violent acts committed by persons affiliated with Antifa or Black Lives Matter, as the Bureau does not classify either leftist group as “domestic terrorist” organization.

During a House Oversight Hearing on counterterrorism on September 29, Mace asked Timothy Langan, assistant director of the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division about the Bureau’s approach to criminality associated with Antifa and Black Lives Matter. Langan said the FBI does not classify Antifa or Black Lives Matter as “domestic terrorist” organizations due to the Bureau’s labeling of the two groups as “movements.” He also said the FBI does not identify either leftist group as “anti-government” or “anti-authority” organizations.

“It was shocking,” Mace said of her Langan’s testimony. “This is a member of the FBI. We had our sixth hearing on the Oversight Committee on white supremacy and domestic terrorism, and I’m not going to water down the threats that are out there with regards to that, but it was our sixth hearing on this. Of course, I’m going to ask questions about Antifa and Black Lives Matter.”

She recalled, “[The FBI was] telling all of America that they don’t track acts of violence by these violent groups. [It] is astounding, and further in that inquiry, the FBI then tell me that there are about 75 open cases of ‘anti-government-related’ categories. … We’ve all seen the violence over the last two years across cities around the nation, literally Antifa and Black Lives Matter burning down street corners, destroying companies, destroying people’s livelihoods, pulling people out of their cars and beating them in broad daylight, and we don’t track Antifa because — quote — it’s a movement.

“We know [Antifa] is an organization,” Mace added. “It is a violent organization … and we don’t track Antifa.”

Biden Report: Climate Change Calls for ‘Realignment’ of U.S. Economy

The domestic crises continue in U.S. ports and on the southern border but President Joe Biden and his administration are focused on so-called climate change, including releasing a a 40-page report on Friday on how the issue threatens the U.S. economy.

The report connects weather to endangering finances, insurance, housing, and savings for American families.

The summary of the report states:

Climate change poses serious and systemic risks to the U.S. economy and financial system. As outlined in this report, the United States government is using all of its tools to properly account for and mitigate climate change-related financial and economic risks, as climate impacts are already affecting American jobs, homes, families’ hard-earned savings, and businesses.

The country must work with urgency to reduce the risks of climate change by addressing its drivers and creating a stronger, more resilient economy. This report lays out a roadmap for measuring, disclosing, managing, and mitigating climate-related financial risk across the economy, including to the Federal Government, while also catalyzing public and private investment to seize the opportunity of a net-zero, clean energy future.

This comes following Biden’s May 2021 executive order. Biden said of his order:

The intensifying impacts of climate change present physical risk to assets, publicly traded securities, private investments, and companies…the failure of financial institutions to appropriately and adequately account for and measure these physical and transition risks threatens the competitiveness of U.S. companies and markets, the life savings and pensions of U.S. workers and families, and the ability of U.S. financial institutions to serve communities. … In this effort, the Federal Government should lead by example by appropriately prioritizing Federal investments and conducting prudent fiscal management.

The report speaks about an economic “realignment” and even the supply chain — without mentioning the current crisis:

This realignment will also include a greater exploration of climate-related financial risks related to the agricultural, forest, and land use sector (AFOLU). The Federal Government needs to better understand how AFOLU climate-related financial risk might affect U.S. supply chains and U.S. farmers, ranchers, foresters, and agricultural workers as well as how the Federal Government can play a positive role by promoting climate-smart agricultural and forestry practices, investing in coastal resilience and other land and water projects that mitigate climate impacts, and using financial and other tools to conserve critical carbon sinks.

“If this year has shown us anything, it’s that climate change poses an ongoing urgent and systemic risk to our economy and to the lives and livelihoods of everyday Americans, and we must act now,” Gina McCarthy, the White House national climate adviser, told reporters, according to Time magazine.

Lynn Rosenman Garland was raised in New York and Redding, Connecticut, and attended the prestigious Brearley School, according to her wedding announcement.

She went on to graduate from Harvard University and from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she earned a master’s degree in operations management.

At the time of her wedding she was working as the staff assistant to the vice president in charge of operations for the Melpar division of E-Systems, Inc., a defense elctronics contractor in Falls Church, Virginia. Details about her later career were not immediately available.

There was an announcement of Garland’s daughter’s marriage where it was noted that Garland’s wife “advises government and non-profit groups on voting systems security and accuracy issues.”

This led us to some material where Ms. Lynn Garland is noted in a report on individuals involved with Election Verification Network:

Lynn Garland has worked as an unaffiliated volunteer to improve the security and accuracy of election systems since 2004. She is a co-executive editor of “Principles and Best Practices of Post-Election Audits.” She served on a team evaluating optical scan systems for Maryland’s State Board of Elections. Previously, she worked in manufacturing operations management for a Fortune 100 electronics company. She majored in Physics at Harvard College and in Operations Management at MIT’s business school.”

Several of the other individuals connected with the ‘Election Verification Network’ work with far-left ‘non-profits’ that worked to prevent audits of the results of the 2020 Election.

Left-Wing Member Of Loudoun County School Board Announces Resignation

Beth Barts, a prominent left-wing member of the Loudoun County School Board, announced her resignation from her position in a Facebook post Friday.

“Please accept this letter as my formal resignation from the Loudoun County School Board effective November 2, 2021,” Barts wrote on Facebook.

In March, Barts was at the center of the recall effort to remove six school board members, who were accused of being part of an anti-racist Facebook group that allegedly created lists of parents who opposed Critical Race Theory (CRT) or who called for the reopening of schools for in-person learning.

CRT holds that America is fundamentally racist, yet it teaches students to view every social interaction and person in terms of race. Its adherents pursue “antiracism” through the end of merit, objective truth and the adoption of race-based policies.

Loudoun County residents again called for Barts’ job in an August petition, which accused her of violating state and local policies by holding illegal meetings through email and on Facebook groups, exposing confidential information from closed school board sessions and using her personal social media account to discuss official business in private Facebook groups.

The recall efforts have been spearheaded by Loudoun County parents who opposed CRT and the district’s transgender policy that requires teachers to call students by their “chosen name and gender pronouns that reflect their gender identity without any substantiating evidence” and allows transgender students to participate in sports and use bathrooms that correspond to their chosen gender identity.

“This was not an easy decision or a decision made in haste,” Barts wrote. “After much thought and careful consideration, it is the right decision for me and my family.”

Barts said she is grateful for the opportunity to have represented Leesburg on the school board in a role where she “empowered students to achieve academic and personal success in supportive and most importantly inclusive school environments.”

She also said she “remained committed to doing what was best for all of Loudoun County Public School students and staff.”
