In other countries people leave with the shirt on their back and go where they can start a better life. In the U.S. people stay at dead-end jobs working for a miserable boss so that they can afford a house, car, food, and utilities. Fear makes people more compliant. Also each generation tells the next that this is how things have always been & that they have to work a low paying thankless job to earn a living & save money for retirement. At some point people need to stop & realize that jobs should be better & you need to enjoy everyday instead of waiting till you are old to be happy.
