i've read a shit ton of computational studies, and even authored a few. i've never come across the term in silico before. they are always referred to as what they are, "a computational study." computational modeling is a good way to get ideas, particularly when there is presently no way to get a physical measurment. but the results should NEVER be confused with facts, which ONLY come from physical experimentation and measurement. i have the indian paper that came out in jan 2020 that claimed to have found bits of the HIV virus in covid. gonna have to read it again.

just watched the weather report, and the meteorologist played the "futurecast" weather model, which showed lots of scattered rain. but then he told the audience, "i don't think it's gonna rain this much. don't believe the model, sometimes it gets a little wacky." so they admit on tv that the weather models are not reliable for predicting the weather 12 hours from now, and normies can't connect the dots when they turn around and say they're certain that the earth will be hotter 50 yrs from now. SMH.
