Vast majority of those in "assisted living facilities" are covered by insurance.
Insurance companies therefore have to pay for their care, at least a significant portion of it.
Liability. Cost.
And, each day, week, month they are in there.
Will they get better, or will their health get progressively worse over time?
The older and sicker, the more likely they will get WORSE.
….And MORE COSTLY to the insurance company.
But if they die, the insurance company's costs drop to zero. And profit goes up.
Any incentive or possible motivations here?
