I like to think the vaccination stats are a progress bar. Various military and rescue operations in every country worldwide.
If Country X says they've reached 70% vaccination rate, then they're that far along in being 'in the clear'.
Vaccination rates would be similar to a movie release. Every goes to watch the movie in the first 2 weeks, slow drop off over the next few months. Adding into the mix appointments and scare tactics in the late term (job loss).
