Would requiring big tech companies to make their algorithms public fix the censorship problems we have?

I have a strong argument with multiple points I could use to put whoever it is in their place but, since it’s obvious they totally miss the entire point and message, I will not throw my pearls to the swine. Instead, I’ll use moronic replies that will just trigger him/her all the more. I probably shouldn’t do that but I guess I don’t have 100% self control.
