Poland will bow to EU’s demands and dissolve Supreme Court disciplinary chamber, country’s prime minister announces

Poland’s prime minister has announced that his government will dissolve the disciplinary chamber of the country’s Supreme Court after the EU condemned the chamber for threatening the “unity of the European legal order.”

Speaking to EU officials at the European Parliament, Polish leader Mateusz Morawiecki accepted that the chamber “did not meet our expectations,” agreeing to dissolve the “mechanisms that were introduced.”

There was a question about the disciplinary chamber of the Supreme Court. Yes. We intend to dissolve it.

The announcement by Poland’s prime minister marks the conclusion of a row between Warsaw and Brussels over concerns that its disciplinary chamber made EU law subordinate to national law, sparking a reprimand from European officials.

To prevent future disagreements between member states descending into the row that’s broken out between Poland and the EU, Morawiecki called on the EU Court of Justice to establish a chamber that can act as an arbiter for disputes within the bloc.

Earlier on Tuesday, the European Commission’s chief, Ursula von der Leyen, outlined three options following Poland’s previous defense of its judicial policy. First, a legal challenge from Poland could end in fines. Second, the EU could block funds to Poland’s government. Third, the EU could use Article 7 of the Treaty on the European Union to suspend rights to Poland.

Poland’s leader had pushed back on the EU’s threats, by warning that it risked making the bloc a “centrally managed organism,” rather than a partnership of member states. “Unfortunately, today we are dealing with a very dangerous phenomenon whereby various European Union institutions usurp powers they do not have under the Treaties and impose their will on Member States,” Morawiecki had warned.

"I Would Convince People" - Trump Says US Wouldn't Need COVID Vaccine Mandate If He Was President

President Trump has a very simple solution for President Biden's problem of vaccine credibility.

"I would sell it to them," the former president said during an interview with former Fox News host Bill O'Reilly that aired last night on The First TV.

He added that when he was president there was "no talk of" vaccine mandates, and added that in under nine months, his administration helped produce not one but three vaccines, all of which have proven to be the industry standard around the world.

"I wouldn’t say to anybody, 'You have to.' But I would sell it. Look, I’m very proud of what we did with the vaccines," Trump told political news host Bill O’Reilly in an interview that will air at 8 p.m. Monday on The First TV.

"It was supposed to take five years and they said it wasn’t going to work. I did three vaccines in less than nine months and they do work, they work really well.

Lori Lightfoot Accuses Police Union of Attempting to “Induce an Insurrection” by Not Getting Experimental Vaccine

Last week John Catanzara, the head of Chicago’s police union, advised police officers NOT to comply with the city’s COVID-19 mandatory vaccine and reporting requirements.

Catanzara told fellow officers to openly defy Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s vaccine deadline.

On Sunday the City of Chicago upped its battle with police officers over the mandated COVID vaccine. The City of Chicago issued a statement Sunday night threatening the retirement benefits of officers who opt to retire from the force rather than submit to Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s COVID vaccine mandate and reporting system.

And on Monday Mayor Lori Lightfoot accused the police of “attempting to induce an insurrection” by not getting the experimental vaccine.

Biden’s climate czar & private jet lover John Kerry says US pivot from fossil fuel will create ‘many good-paying jobs in Mexico’

Touting the benefits of the US transition from gas-powered cars to electric vehicles at a meeting with the Mexican president, US climate envoy John Kerry said the move would boost the Latin American country’s auto industry.

Kerry, US President Joe Biden’s special climate envoy, has argued that Mexico would profit if Biden accomplishes his far-reaching goal to phase out gasoline-powered vehicles.

“Mexico's industrial base, already deeply integrated with the rest of North America, absolutely stands to benefit from the energy transition,” Kerry claimed on Monday after meeting with Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.

“There are going to be a lot of good-paying jobs here in Mexico because of the connection already of the automobile industry and our two countries," he went on to say.

While pushing Biden’s climate agenda, Kerry has courted widespread controversy as his personal behavior comes in stark contrast to his climate rhetoric, such as taking a private jet to receive an environmental award, while his own family’s fuel-guzzling private jet has been spotted traversing the skies multiple times a week, according to Flight Aware data. In January, Kerry came under fire after suggesting that energy workers who would be laid off by Biden’s environmental policies could find a living making “solar panels.”

Since he came to power, Biden has led a crusade against gas-powered cars, tightening pollution standards and demanding that electric cars make up at least half of all new US vehicle sales by 2030. His $174 billion proposal will see some $100 billion spent to encourage Americans to invest in electric vehicles, including through offering tax credits and creating a network of charging stations across the country. Despite its far-reaching nature, however, some climate activists have decried Biden’s plan to transition to “green energy” as underwhelming at best.

In contrast, the United Autoworkers (UAW), which represents some 390,000 active industry workers in the US and Canada, has backed the plan, noting in a statement earlier this month that “we need these jobs of the future to be as good or better than the jobs they replace.”

A recent report by the Economic Policy Institute found, however, that the US auto industry is on course to lose some 75,000 jobs by 2030 if the impact from the transition is not offset by government subsidies.

“We find that if this shift to BEVs [battery electric vehicles] is done without any policy efforts to shore up US leadership in BEV production or to enhance job quality and equitable access to good jobs, then this sector will see employment decline and job quality continue a downward march,” the report released in September states.

On the contrary, if “smart policy measures” are implemented to boost production of electric vehicle components in the US and domestic sales, then the sector can add as many as 150,000 jobs by the end of the decade, according to the report.

UK partners with billionaire Bill Gates to deploy £400mn green investment package London can’t afford on its own

Boris Johnson has announced a pricey tech partnership with Bill Gates, saying the pairing will set off a “green industrial revolution” capable of meeting Britain’s climate commitments and covering costs London couldn’t pay itself.

“We will only achieve our ambitious climate goals if we rapidly scale up new technologies in areas like green hydrogen and sustainable aviation fuels – technologies that seemed impossible just a few years ago,” the British PM gushed on Tuesday during a speech at a Global Investment Summit in London’s Science Museum ahead of the COP26 climate conference.

Alongside billionaire philanthropist Gates, the PM outlined a plan to deploy £400 million in investments in new green technologies, heralding the Microsoft founder’s cash as the key element in a development program that would otherwise be commercially unfeasible and thus too expensive for the government to undertake alone.

The partnership with a Gates-led coterie of private investors called Breakthrough Energy Catalyst would help advance the UK’s technological position in carbon capture and storage, green hydrogen tech, long-term battery life, and zero-carbon aviation (“jet zero”), Johnson explained, adding that the program would also bring “high-quality jobs” to the UK.

London has already pledged at least £200 million to developing new green technologies, while Microsoft founder Gates promised on Tuesday to match 10 Downing’s commitment with another £200 million via Breakthrough. The software tycoon had previously organized the group of investors to marshal large sums of money into ‘green’ projects.

Promising to scale up environmentally friendly projects and “bring down that cost,” Gates predicted his assistance could “get these [new green energy projects] to the same place we are today with solar and onshore wind, and so they can be scaled up to reduce emissions.”

“Our partnership with the UK will accelerate the deployment of these critical climate solutions, helping to make them more affordable and accessible,” Gates added, explaining that to reach net zero, the cost of “clean technologies” had to be brought down to a point where it could compete with less-green types of energy currently in use.

Johnson made much of the well-heeled crowd soon to be his guests at climate conference COP26, which starts in Glasgow on October 31, noting that altogether, the 200 attendees had a whopping $24 trillion in assets under management.

“We should be using this moment, collectively as governments, to leverage in the trillions of the market, creating the country platforms that will not only tackle climate change but deliver green jobs and green growth around the world.”

After chiding his fellow governments for not embracing the private sector enough in the race to commercialize green tech, the PM dispensed with the pretext of addressing his guests’ human plus-ones entirely, speaking directly to the cash in their pockets.

DHS Begins Releasing Gas on NYC Citizens at 120 Locations in ‘Biological Attack Simulation’

On Monday, the Department of Homeland Security and the Metro Transit Authority began a drill in which government agents will release a gas at over 100 locations to simulate a biological attack on the city. Authorities say the gas is “non-toxic” but will be released in closed spaces underground in the city’s subways system as well as outdoors.

The event, which is being referred to as an “airflow and dispersion study,” runs from October 18 through the 29th. It will simulate the aerosol release of a biological agent in a densely populated urban environment.

The project includes the release of “low concentrations of safe particle and gas tracer materials” as part of two programs, the Urban Threat Dispersion (UTD) program and the Chemical and Bio-defense Testbed (CBT) program, according to the DHS.

“The study will track movement of non-toxic material and the results from these tests will be used to learn more about the relationship between airflow in street level and underground environments,” the MTA said.

While a full list of locations was not made available to residents, a DHS document lists Times Square, Grand Central, Penn Station, Union Square, and the World Trade Center transit hub as sites for tests, with testing both indoors and outdoors.

The DHS claims the particle gas tracers are non-toxic and pose no health risks. The non-toxic substances include salt, glycerol, maltodextrin (sweetener), a fluorescent brightener, non-coding DNA oligos, amorphous silica among others. Sounds real healthy.

Naturally, the idea of government agents spraying the public with “safe gas” has many folks worried. Since these plans have been available for over a week, many folks are worried that they may be used as cover for an actual biological weapons attack. After all, many of the world’s recent attacks have taken place simultaneously with drills or exercises of a similar nature.

Many New Yorkers have taken to social media to voice their concerns with such an ill planned move during the middle of a pandemic.

“If you want to test Non-Toxic gas then you can do it in WASHINGTON DC not in NYC during a PANDEMIC in a subway that has 6 million commuters per day,” tweeted one New York resident.

Colorado Governor Says Kids Should Lie And Get COVID Vaccine Without Parents Knowing

Get the vaccine and lie to your family for the rest of your life, says Democrat Governor Jared Polis

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, a Democrat, urged individuals to lie to their family members and “privately” get one of the controversial COVID-19 vaccines while engaging in deception to keep loved ones who may be against the vaccines from finding out.

“A spouse, a parent you live with who doesn’t want to get it, is against it… you can still privately get that vaccine without your partner knowing if that’s what keeps the harmony in the family and you are protecting yourself,” the Colorado governor said recently.

The Democrat politician was quoted by another publication saying, “You can still privately get vaccinated without your parent or spouse knowing if that keeps the harmony in your family and you’re protecting yourself. It doesn’t mean you have to share that with those you live with.”

While the Colorado governor solidly endorses paranoia-inducing deceit within family units, it appears he is likely referring to children who are at least 18 years of age, as unlike other liberal areas, Colorado does not make exceptions for minors to receive the COVID-19 vaccines without permission of a parent or guardian.

This is what happens to school age children in San Francisco, where the child is allowed to “consent” to receiving one of the COVID-19 vaccines if the parent cannot be reached in a timely fashion.

Additionally, at press time the vaccines are only available to children who are 12 and older, though the government is telling hospitals to prepare for mass vaccination of children as young as five. Cognitive Warfare – Battle For Your Brain

NATO is developing new forms of warfare to wage a “battle for the brain,” as the military alliance put it.

The US-led NATO military cartel has tested novel modes of hybrid warfare against its self-declared adversaries, including economic warfare, cyber warfare, information warfare, and psychological warfare.

Now, NATO is spinning out an entirely new kind of combat it has branded cognitive warfare. Described as the “weaponization of brain sciences,” the new method involves “hacking the individual” by exploiting “the vulnerabilities of the human brain” in order to implement more sophisticated “social engineering.”

Until recently, NATO had divided war into five different operational domains: air, land, sea, space, and cyber. But with its development of cognitive warfare strategies, the military alliance is discussing a new, sixth level: the “human domain.”

A 2020 NATO-sponsored study of this new form of warfare clearly explained, “While actions taken in the five domains are executed in order to have an effect on the human domain, cognitive warfare’s objective is to make everyone a weapon.”

“The brain will be the battlefield of the 21st century,” the report stressed. “Humans are the contested domain,” and “future conflicts will likely occur amongst the people digitally first and physically thereafter in proximity to hubs of political and economic power.”

Cryptocurrency Is Bunk - Cryptocurrency promises to liberate the monetary system from the clutches of the powerful. Instead, it mostly functions to make wealthy speculators even wealthier.

Cryptocurrency is often dismissed by economists and investors alike as a purely speculative asset — for good reason. With daily price swings as high as 16 percent on the upside and more than 18 percent on the downside, Bitcoin, the most established cryptocurrency, is one of the most volatile assets on the market.

And yet it’s hailed by some as the ultimate store of value and an alternative investment strategy to gold, while others go as far as to claim it’s the solution to a broken financial system. Cathie Wood, CEO of venture capital fund ARK Invest, claims that Bitcoin “represents insurance against unhinged monetary policy and outright wealth segregation in some countries,” while CEO of BnkToTheFuture Simon Dixon sees cryptocurrencies as offering consumers an alternative to the irresponsible lending practices of commercial banks.

Unlike many crypto fanatics who simplistically see money creation as the remit of government, Dixon rightly points out that money creation is more at the discretion of commercial banks. Those banks create credit through loans and mortgages at a disproportionately higher rate than their accumulation of cash or central bank reserves, contributing to a rapidly expanding broad money supply and subsequently inflating financial assets and house prices by creating too much money in these markets. This anti-money-creation theme is at the core of the cryptocurrency ideology.

Cryptocurrency as a political project has its ideological roots in the Austrian school of economic thought. It’s encapsulated by thinkers like Milton Friedman, with his infamous and overused axiom that “inflation is always and everywhere a monetary phenomenon.” Austrian economic thought sees government intervention as the cause of all economic ills and phenomena like inflation as the consequence of market distortions brought on by the state tampering with interest rates, taxes, and spending.

Their thinking says that, left to its own devices and free from the prognostications of treasury and central bank bureaucrats and from politicians fiddling with fiscal and monetary policy, the financial system will find equilibrium and deliver a more stable economy. They therefore propose a return to something like a gold standard, which would put a limit on government policy and money creation.

There is some truth in the narrative that persistently low interest rates have driven asset price inflation in recent decades. However, restricting a state’s ability to use countercyclical monetary policy measures by enforcing a gold standard has often been associated with more frequent and severe recessions. As former Bank of England governor Mervyn King points out in his book The End of Alchemy,

The attraction of gold to many — namely that its supply cannot easily be expanded by governments — is in fact a serious weakness. In times of financial crisis, paper money can be created quickly and easily when the demand for liquidity is high; not so the supply of gold. Almost invariably, the gold standard was suspended during a financial panic.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot appeared to attend a WNBA game maskless over the weekend, in violation of local and state mandates.

In a photo she posted to Twitter, the Democratic mayor can be seen maskless at the game surrounded by a crowd of masked spectators. Chicago and the state of Illinois both require that masks be worn at all indoor public venues by individuals over the age of two, regardless of vaccination status.

The commissioner of the Chicago Department of Public Health, Allison Arwady, enacted the city’s mask mandate, which has been in effect since August 20.

In 2020, Lightfoot defended herself against another COVID-19 restriction controversy after she was caught getting a haircut while a statewide stay-at-home order was in place.

“I’m the public face of this city,” Lightfoot said at the time. “I’m on national media and I’m out in the public eye … I think what really people want to talk about is, we’re talking about people dying here. We’re talking about significant health disparities. I think that’s what people care most about.”

Lightfoot is one of several Democrats who have become ensnared in scandals over COVID-19 restrictions, including President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden who were seen violating Washington, D.C.’s indoor mask mandate at an upscale Georgetown restaurant on Saturday.

Both California Governor Gavin Newsom and D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser have been criticized during the pandemic after breaking their own rules on masking, as well.

Last November, photos obtained by FOX 11 Los Angeles showed the governor and his wife in an unmasked group eating shoulder-to-shoulder indoors at a birthday party for Jason Kinney, a longtime lobbyist and Newsom adviser, at French Laundry.

Meanwhile, Bowser came under fire in July after she held her own maskless birthday celebration hours before her mask mandate went into effect. She was again seen maskless hours after the mandate went into effect during an indoor wedding reception.

In September, she again flouted her own mask rules when she shared a picture of herself maskless with a group of women at an indoor Jack and Jill summit.

The idea of a great narrative is something that the French philosopher Jean-Francois Lyotard called a “grand narrative,” (aka “metanarrative“) which, according to Philo-Notes, “functions to legitimize power, authority, and social customs” — everything that the great reset is trying to achieve.

Authoritarians use great narratives to legitimize their own power, and they do this by claiming to have knowledge and understanding that speaks to a universal truth.

At the same time, authoritarians use these grand narratives in an “attempt to translate alternative accounts into their own language and to suppress all objections to what they themselves are saying.”

Marxism creates “a society in which all individuals can develop their talents to the fullest” is one example of a grand narrative.

Loudoun County Prosecutor Who Sought to Jail Father of Girl Allegedly Raped at School (And Covered Up) Has Ties to George Soros

The Loudoun County prosecutor who was trying to get jail time against a father who as arrested at as school board meeting for calling out the school on covering up his daughters alleged rape in a bathroom has now been tied to progressive mega donor George Soros.

The Prosecutor is tied to not only George Soros but also Virginia Democratic gubernatorial nominee Terry McAuliffe.

Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney Buta Biberaj was exposed in the explosive report by The Daily Wire as the “progressive” elected county prosecutor who ran on a platform of ending “mass incarceration,” yet she sought jail time for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, both misdemeanor charges against Scott Smith, a father wanting justice for his daughters sexual assault that took place at the school and was covered up.

Smith was arrested back on June 22 at a school board meeting where he said his daughter was raped by a gender-fluid student in a school bathroom.

The student, a 15-year-old boy, was charged in that case with two counts of forcible sodomy and later arrested. He was then fitted with an ankle monitor and transferred to another school in Ashburn, where he was accused of committing another sexual assault against another female student in October.

Biberaj told Fox 5 on Friday that the decision to transfer the student to a different school came because he didn’t have a prior history of such behavior at the time, and she asked the public to “be patient” and refrain from judgement until “all the facts” in the case came to light.

Meanwhile, Smith’s attorney has announced plans to sue the school district over its handling of the case and his own arrest at the school board meeting. He was sentenced in that case to 10 days in jail, all suspended, contingent on a year of good behavior.

According to The Daily Wire, Biberaj appeared in court to personally prosecute Smith, despite knowing the details of the case involving his daughter. Smith’s attorney Elizabeth Lancaster told the outlet that she’s known Biberaj for “years” and was shocked when the charges against Smith weren’t dropped.

“The idea that they would actually be seeking jail time, I’d guess in my 15 years the number of times I’ve seen that happen would be zero,” Lancaster said. “The idea that this is a person who we need to put in a cage was astounding to me given the social justice reform she was pushing. I was blown away.”

The Daily Wire’s article appears to suggest Biberaj motives for prosecuting the case are political, claiming she is “known for leniency and alternatives to incarceration” in other cases. She came under fire earlier this month for dismissing of hundreds of domestic violence cases after an accused wife-beater out on bond allegedly murdered his wife with a hammer. An advocacy group called Virginians for Safe Communities is leading a recall effort against Biberaj because of that case, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

A new bill that would prevent anyone under a serious indictment from forming a government, was published by Justice Minister Gideon Sa'ar on Tuesday.

According to the bill, which would take effect with the next Knesset, opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu could not be tasked by the president with building a coalition.

Netanyahu, or anyone else indicted for a crime that carries a three-year sentence, also could not serve as an alternate prime minister.

However, there is a loophole in the bill that could allow Netanyahu to overturn it with the support of 61 MKs and then form a government.

Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked (Yamina) has expressed that she opposes the bill, while the view of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett remains unclear.

Eric Greitens: 'Hundreds of ID cards' on Mexican side of border, as Biden opens U.S. 'to terrorists'

"This is literally an open international border," the former Missouri governor said.

Retired Navy SEAL and current GOP Senate candidate in Missouri Eric Greitens recently visited the U.S.-Mexico border and found "hundreds of ID cards" on the Mexican side, left behind by illegal immigrants from Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and other countries, as "President Biden has opened the border to terrorists."

The former Missouri governor told the John Solomon Reports podcast Monday that illegal immigrants cross the American border without identification because U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) just writes down their names and tells them to appear in court in 90 days.

In addition to trash being strewn along the path to the border from Ciudad Acuna, "what you also see are literally hundreds of ID cards, Greitens said. "Because before people cross the border into the United States … they throw their IDs on the ground."

When crossing the border, illegal immigrants "walk straight up to Customs and Border Patrol," who then "take them to the nearest office," where "the migrants then give them whatever name it is that they want to give them," he explained. "That name is written down on a piece of paper, they are told to report to court in 90 days, and then they're released into the United States of America."

"[I]f they claim that they're seeking refugee status in the United States of America, they might give" CBP any "name, any particular backstory that's going to help them to be admitted into the United States," Greitens said.

He mentioned that he picked up several IDs left near the border, which belonged to illegal immigrants from various countries, including Egypt, the UAE, Uruguay, Haiti, Argentina, Cuba, and Senegal.

Greitens added that the National Guard also encountered illegal immigrants from Iran crossing the southern border.

"This is literally an open international border," he said.

"Now, we, of course, cannot know for any individual who's crossing what their story is," Greitens added. "But we know if people are coming across from Egypt, they're coming across from a country which has a large Muslim Brotherhood faction, where there's been a longstanding conflict with Islamic militants in the Sinai Peninsula."

Mentioning he found an ID from the UAE belonging to a Nigerian, Greitens noted: "In the UAE, they just arrested six Nigerians associated with Boko Haram who were in the UAE for terrorist financing."

Local Gov’t Employees Took Hundreds of Hours of Paid Time Off To Elect Warnock, Docs Show

High-paid Atlanta officials simultaneously collected taxpayer-funded salaries, consulting fees

A pair of highly paid Atlanta government employees took hundreds of hours of paid time off to consult for Sen. Raphael Warnock's (D., Ga.) political campaign, a double dip that saw them rake in nearly $100,000.

According to campaign finance records, Phillana Williams and Erica Pines received a combined $97,500 from Warnock during the Georgia Senate runoff elections. Williams and Pines held six-figure salary jobs with the city of Atlanta throughout the election period, during which the operatives took a combined 297 hours in paid vacation time, payroll records provided by the city of Atlanta show.

The move allowed Williams and Pines to minimize their public service responsibilities as they raked in lucrative payments from taxpayers and the Warnock campaign. A veteran Georgia political operative told the Washington Free Beacon that while congressional staffers often take time off "to lend a hand in the closing weeks of their boss's campaign," that time is unpaid.

"The employee of an unrelated and nonpartisan public office taking paid leave to make a buck on Warnock's campaign is a bad look for everyone involved," the operative said.

Williams, Pines, and Warnock did not return requests for comment.

Williams, who still serves as director of marketing and strategy in Atlanta's Office of Entertainment, took 24 vacation leave days from Nov. 23, 2020, to Jan. 6, 2021—a total of 192 hours, city records show. She went on to receive $62,500 from Warnock's campaign on Jan. 26 through her consulting company, the Phillana Factor. In addition to her work with Warnock, Williams took $65,000 in combined payments for consulting work on President Joe Biden and Sen. Jon Ossoff's (D., Ga.) campaigns.

From Oct. 24, 2020, to Jan. 15, 2021, meanwhile, Pines took 105 hours of "scheduled" paid time off from her role as Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) senior director. During that time, she received $35,000 from the Warnock campaign through Sweet Tea Consulting, an LLC that Pines did not establish with the state of Georgia until late June, according to business records.

The paid time off proved fruitful for Pines—she submitted her letter of resignation to MARTA's chief of staff in April, writing "it is time for me to leap full time into political consulting."

At the state government level, Georgia's State Personnel Board prohibits employees from "directing, managing, controlling, or participating in a political campaign for state office." As city officials working on federal campaigns, however, Williams and Pines are not bound by that law.

Williams and Pines were not the only local government employees Warnock hired as political consultants. The Democrat also paid more than $75,000 to DeKalb County director of external affairs Meredith Lilly through her LLC, Love Strategies. The payments came after Lilly requested an unpaid leave of absence for "personal reasons" from Nov. 23, 2020, to Jan. 5, 2021, county records obtained by the Free Beacon show.

Warnock has a long history with Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms (D.). Warnock served on the Democrat's transition team in 2018—Bottoms later faced criticism when she used taxpayer funds to pay campaign aides for transition work before she took office, a move that "circumvented normal city hiring processes and broke with longstanding political practice," according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Just months into her tenure, Bottoms appointed Warnock's then-wife as the city's "senior human trafficking fellow," which also drew a six-figure salary.

Warnock defeated former Republican senator Kelly Loeffler by roughly 2 points in January. He is expected to face Republican challenger Herschel Walker in 2022.
