According to Customs and Border Protection's recent data, under the regulations implemented by the Trump administration in March 2020 and still maintained by the Biden administration, the US has immediately expelled more than 1.1 million asylum-seeking migrants on the southern border, while more and more of them are still seeking refuge.

Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas said on Tuesday that cages designated for migrant children are "bigger" and "more full" than ever before, blasting the Biden administration's handling of the border crisis.

In an interview with Fox News' "America's Newsroom," the senator claimed that the Biden administration's policy is based on "secrecy."

"What is happening at the southern border is an absolute tragedy. We’ve had over 1.3 million people cross illegally. We are on the path to have over 2 million people cross," Cruz said. "Joe Biden and Kamala Harris caused this. Their entire strategy is: ignore it - and they are counting on the corrupt corporate media to ignore it."

Cruz also specifically responded to the reports that the US authorities are allegedly secretly redirecting migrant children to reception centers throughout the country via night flights, saying, "Of course they fly in the middle of the night because they have no defense."

Furthermore, the Republican senator commented on the media and Democrats' frequent criticism that the Trump administration was allegedly holding illegal migrants in cages pending their asylum cases.

"Every Democrat for 4 years said ‘kids in cages, kids in cages.’ The Biden cages are bigger and are more full than we’ve ever had in this country and not a single Democrat cares," Cruz stressed. "It is an absolute disaster. And I’ve got to tell you, my home state of Texas is bearing the brunt of this catastrophe that is unfolding because of political decisions made by Joe Biden and made by Kamala Harris."

Just last month, Cruz dared Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York to "cry in front of the Biden cages," referring to her famous 2018 photo where she appeared to be crying in front of a chain-link fence at a facility where illegal migrants were being kept by the authorities.

Video has emerged of a teacher at a high school in Ohio talking about books and themes closely associated with so called ‘critical race theory’, despite previous promises to parents from officials that it wasn’t happening in the district’s schools.

The footage, apparently secretly recorded by a student at Franklin Woods Intermediate School, appears to show a teacher lecturing children about how not engaging in anti-racism activism means that Americans are enabling racism.

The teacher admits to being an ‘activist’ and points to the book “Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You” written by Jason Reynolds and Ibram X. Kendi, key figures in the CRT movement.

The teacher says “Some people might call it racist. It’s actually three categories, if you read the book ‘Stamped’ you’ll hear that there’s three areas. There’s anti-racist which is a person who works to end racism. An activist, someone who is active, and that’s what I was trying to be. I was reading books, I was going to rallies, I was trying to be in that group.”

The teacher continues, “Then there’s the opposite which is someone who is racist, who discriminates against people of a certain group and that sort of thing.”

“But then there’s the middle group,” the teacher continues, adding “A middle group is what most people are. Most people don’t actively work to end racism, and most people don’t work to be in the racist group. Sydney News: Passengers injured in train derailment near Wollongong

Commuters travelling by train today have been warned to expect significant disruption as workers take industrial action.

Sydney Trains says the network will be operating at about 30 per cent capacity on a revised timetable that will deliver a basic service.

Commuters are being urged to consider other modes of transport.

Rail, Tram and Bus Union secretary Alex Claassens said workers were calling for a commitment from the government that there would be no further privatisation of services.

They also calling for cleaning services to be maintained at the current level and for new trains to be built in Australia.

Dem Budget Bill Would Slash Border Protection Budget by Half Billion Dollars

Cuts proposed as southern border faces a decades-high surge of illegal immigrants

Senate Democrats are moving to slash the budget for Customs and Border Protection by half a billion dollars in the midst of an immigration crisis, putting more strain on an agency with nearly exhausted resources.

The appropriations bill, released Monday by Sen. Chris Murphy (D., Conn.), allocates just $14.5 billion to CBP for the 2022 fiscal year, down from $15 billion the year before and $80 million less than what President Joe Biden requested in his budget. Immigration and Customs Enforcement would receive $7.9 billion, a cut of $40 million from the previous year and $58 million less than what Biden asked for.

Democrats also proposed reduced funding for family detention centers, while pumping more money toward constructing new migrant processing centers along the U.S.-Mexico border. The measure indicates that Democrats don't see the surge ending anytime soon. The new processing centers, they say, will reduce migrant time in custody. The bill forbids Homeland Security Investigations, an arm of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, from enforcing immigration laws. It instead directs the agency to only focus on "the disruption of transnational crime," such as drug trafficking or money laundering.

The proposed cuts come as the southern border faces a decades-high surge of illegal immigrants attempting to enter the United States. Immigration authorities expect to report nearly two million migrant encounters at the border this fiscal year, the first time the number has exceeded one million since 2006.

"It's time for the Department of Homeland Security to make investments in what protects us, not what divides us," Murphy said in a statement. "The ineffective and inhumane border policies and political vanity projects of the Trump Administration didn't make our nation safer, and it's time to turn the page to fund policies that meet the actual threats presented to this nation."

The White House did not respond to a request for comment.

Senate Democrats in a summary of the bill said cuts to detention centers were warranted by "lower overall detention numbers due to the pandemic and related-litigation." Between January and August, however, the number of illegal aliens detained by ICE increased by 70 percent, according to data provided by the agency.

The Senate Democrats' proposal represents another blow to an agency already frustrated by the White House's apparent lack of interest in funding border security and migrant processing measures. A senior DHS official who spoke with the Washington Free Beacon sounded the alarm on the president’s initial budget request to Congress, citing inflation and lack of manpower at CBP as challenges that need to be addressed.

"We were already going to have less money next year under Biden’s plan," the official said. "This is not a party serious about enforcing immigration law."

This brings the grand total given to Max Max’s daughter, Karen Waters, to more than $1.2 million in campaign payments since 2003.

Recall, during the 2020 election cycle, Maxine Waters paid her daughter $240,000 to run a slate-mailer operation.

The New York Post reported:

Rep. Maxine Waters, chairwoman of the House Financial Services Committee, paid her own daughter more than $80,000 out of campaign coffers in that last fiscal year.

The California Democrat paid $81,650 in campaign funds to her daughter Karen Waters, according to campaign finance records reviewed by The Post.

The total was paid in 12 payments across several months during Fiscal Year 2021 for “slate mailer management” fees and “GOTV” — or “Get Out the Vote” services.

The payments mirror ones the congresswoman made to her daughter last election cycle when she paid her around $240,000 for work under the same labels.

More than $212,600 in disbursements to Karen were broken down into 26 entries such as “slate mailer management” fees, “office expenses” and “canvassing” between March 2019 and September 2020.

It was previously reported by Fox News that Waters had paid her daughter $74,000 in donor cash through September.

52 suspected terrorists heading for US border apprehended in Panama, Congressman says

The Panamanian government caught 52 people linked the terrorist group Al Qaeda, heading for the U.S. southern border, Rep. Tony Gonzalez (R-TX) said in a Monday podcast appearance.

During an interview with Republican Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel on the GOP’s Real America podcast, Gonzalez talked about the security risks associated with mass migration across the U.S. southern border. Gonzalez said Panamanian foreign minister Erica Mouynes had warned a caravan of 100,000 migrants heading for the southern border and told him the Panamanian government had already apprehended 52 people on the U.S. terrorist watch list out of the group.

“The thing that keeps me up at night the most is another 9/11 type of event,” said Gonzalez, a retired U.S. Navy cryptologist. “I just met last week, or actually this week with the foreign minister of Panama. . . She goes, ‘There’s over 100,000 coming through Panama on their way to the U.S. as we speak.”

“I ask her one specific question: ‘have you caught anybody on the terrorist watch list?'” Gonzalez continued. “She goes, ‘Funny you ask that, Tony, because in Panama we do biometrics and we have apprehended 52 people that are associated with Al Qaeda.'”

Gonzalez said he then asked if President Joe Biden’s administration is aware of the apprehensions. “She goes, ‘There’s no one home. I’m talking to you because the administration is absent.'”

After learning about the apprehensions, Gonzalez said he spoke to Sens. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Ted Cruz (R-TX), did interviews with CNN and NPR and tried to connect Mouynes with other officials “to get as much voice behind this as possible.”

Concerns about terror threats crossing into the U.S. through the southern border are not new. In April, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents announced they had arrested two Yemeni nationals listed on the FBI’s terrorism watch list, trying to cross through the same border sector in a two-month period. A day after announcing the arrests, the CBP press release was deleted from its website, prompting questions from Republican lawmakers.

It’s understood the NT police Territory Response Group was sent to patrol Mr Gunner’s house on Saturday night, but the Chief Minister would not comment on the security details.

“I think people understand for good reasons I can’t provide details on what the security precautions are or have been to make people safe,” he said.

“We don’t want people knowing how we’re making sure that myself and my family are safe but obviously precautions had to be taken because of the threats that were made and my address was given out - and not just given out, people were encouraged to go to my house.”

Police say at least 1000 people were at Saturday’s rally, while organisers believe up to 3000 people attended.

Anger spilled over after the NT Government announced mandatory Covid-19 vaccines for anyone working in contact with a vulnerable person.

The new rules that make it mandatory for many workers who interact with the public to have their first jab by November 12. Second doses will need to be complete by December 24, otherwise they face fines of up to $5000.

The move has attracted negative attention from around the world.

Political nonprofit fundraising off breast cancer has deep ties to scam PAC networks

This October, as Americans mark another Breast Cancer Awareness month, a number of organizations and advocates will want to make their cause known. But there’s one group donors may want to avoid: The American Breast Cancer Coalition.

Although it sounds like a noble charity, the ABCC is actually a political group — and rather than trying to actually address breast cancer, the ABCC appears to be a scheme to extract millions of dollars in donations, mostly from small donors.

In recent robocalls, a feminine voice claims the goal of the group’s fundraising is to “support legislators who will fight for the fast track approval of life saving breast cancer health bills and breast cancer treatment drugs to the FDA.”

But financial records on file with the Internal Revenue Service tell a different story, reviewed in a joint investigation between The Daily Beast and OpenSecrets, revealing payments to firms with ties to a multimillion-dollar “scam PAC” network.

In May 2019, Bill Davis created a nonprofit called The American Breast Cancer Coalition, and the group quickly started raising money.

In the space of two years, the nonprofit has brought in nearly $3.57 million in the name of that worthy cause, according to IRS filings. But the ABCC has so far paid nearly every dollar it has raised to fundraising companies. Some of those companies even have ties to a telemarketing kingpin who was fined $56 million last year for bilking donors out of tens of millions of dollars in fake charity contributions.

What’s more, it’s not alone.

The ABCC is one among a number of political groups masquerading under names of charity causes, known broadly as “scam PACs.” These shady organizations purport to raise money for a number of heart-tugging issues — e.g., law enforcement, wounded veterans, firefighters, children with disabilities — but plow nearly every dollar back into raising more money, often in major payouts to the same network of shady telemarketing companies and other firms.

By registering as a political group instead of a charity organization, scam PACs can usually operate in a legal gray area often beyond the reach of authorities who regulate campaign finance and nonprofit activity.

Even though the ABCC is a PAC, unlike typical groups uncovered in scam PAC schemes, it has not registered with the Federal Election Commission. It has only registered with the IRS as a 527 political group — an apparently recent, and legal, tactical shift to make investigations more difficult for the public, the press and regulators.

Political groups known as 527s — so named after a section of the tax code that governs their operations — are tax-exempt nonprofits that are supposed to operate primarily to influence the “selection, nomination, election, appointment, or defeat of candidates for federal, state, or local public office.”

While 527s are allowed to make expenditures for reasons that do not relate to political campaign activities, such as lobbying, those groups may be subject to taxes on activities that do not further political purposes.
