Anon thought from early age that public schooling felt all wrong. Thought it was because I was just shy or different (both of which somewhat true), but in retrospect, anon shouldn't have doubted self. Why we would think it normal to hand our children over to God only knows who to indoctrinate them with God only knows what is one of those terrible ideas that is sinisterly-well-disguised to be perceived as no worse than "how bad could it be" all the way up to "the collective education of our youth is society's greatest good!" Now I perceive it as anywhere from irresponsible parenting to outright child abuse.
