>I know a lot about this place. Main residents are "good ole boys" and its like 90% white. No real industry…most people work in Galveston, Texas city (refineries), and League City
>No one is going to Harvard out of the schools…thats for sure.
>Just a pretty average place….the whole shooting has me kinda flummoxed. Mainly bcs the entire city is probably strapped. I expected a bunch of parents rolling up with weapons as it happened
I see the Mayor is definitely a good o' boy (pic related)
I find it interesting he is quoted in the article about wanting to bring
water/sewer services to more residences.
Anons were saying that
the water was shut off at the school. when the shooting happened?
I don't know, maybe its too much of stretch.
Dr. Leigh Wall, and the Supreme Court Case regarding prayer seem to be the only notables.
Kind of random, but I was researching the Mayor of Leeds and he was involved in a similar Court
Case in UK regarding council members being required to attend official meetings which opened with
Prayer. (More than likely completely unrelated but thats how Autism works right?
Been going through
the council members, two are up for re-election this month?
Charles Coleman (found nothing)
Corey Jannett (Son of “bubba Jannett? , runs a Tobacco cessation program http://thepostnewspaper.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/060315-full.pdf?x39557)
Again, nothing suspect to me.
Other Council members i searched, I found nothing substantial either, up for re-ellection next year in may.
Bill Pittman (general contractor https://buildshop.com/pro/bilmar-homes)
Ron Bubba Jannett (nothing substantial)
The chief of police is Walter Braun has no info online, but is also
listed as an "administrator" on a school news letter (see pic bellow)
I also looked at their 2016-2017 budget
http://www.guidrynews.com/16September/26716SFBudget.pdf
Theres nothing suspect in there (to me), they spent some money on the police
dept, and some GIS mapping Software. their asset portfolio is about
inline with a municipality of their size.
There formation in the 1970's as a city not wanting to be annexed
by neighboring Hitchcock speaks to the Community being tight-nit
and able to unify.
"in the mid-1970s, the neighboring city of Hitchcock attempted to annex the Morningview neighborhood in eastern Alta Loma, to which the neighborhood residents were opposed. To avoid annexation, a petitioning effort was begun to incorporate the area into a new city. On January 21, 1978, a ballot proposal to incorporate Alta Loma and parts of Arcadia (a total of nine square miles) passed by a wide margin, and the city of Santa Fe was born. In the years since, Santa Fe has grown to include all of Arcadia and parts of Algoa, and has become an affluent area of Galveston County."

Still looking into the school news letter listed below.
Appreciate the responses Anons.
