In Maryland alone, my Agenda will invest at least $4.1 billion for federal-aid highways and $409 million for bridges — plus $1.7 billion to improve public transportation options in the state.
It will provide high-speed internet access to the more than 147,000 people in Maryland who currently lack it. And $844 million for Maryland to improve water infrastructure for residents. No more lead pipes putting kids at risk.
My Agenda means all 3- and 4-year-olds in Maryland will be able to attend high quality preschool. And it will cut child care costs for middle income families by half. More than 100,000 students in Maryland will get more help paying for college through an increase in Pell grants.
