Quite honestly; I don't give a single shit about green friendly bullshit! I want to get my house able to operate off the grid, not for any green kudos but, to stick it to the electricity suppliers that seem to always increase their charges. My system will take 4 years to achieve equilibrium in ROI and the parts are rated at 30 years for my panels (80%) output and 10 years on the battery bank. That means for 6 years the system starts paying for the replacement batteries needed in approximately 10 years. They actually last longer than that in reality. and 26 years to pay for the replacement solar panels, If i need better than 80% of their capacity by then. All the time the power companies increase their charges and it just makes my system cheaper with every increase!
