Gas Stations Across Iran Crippled After Massive Cyberattack

Iran has announced that the country's energy infrastructure was hit by a massive cyberattack on Tuesday, which left state subsidized gas stations across the country out of commission, resulting in very long lines of cars observed waiting to fill up in many towns and cities.

The timing is interesting given it happened near the two year anniversary mark of deadly nationwide protests following serious gas shortages and price hikes in the fall of 2019. The 'activist' nature of the hack is further revealed in that Iranian media is reporting that a message showed up in national computer systems that were hacked that addressed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei with the words, "where is the gas?"

According to The Jerusalem Post, Iranian officials are already suspecting a US or Israeli intrusion: "With the exact details still hazy, there is already rife speculation about whether the purported cyberattack came from the US, Israel or a range of local Iranian anti-regime groups."

There's also the possibility of well-funded Iranian opposition and dissident groups, namely the MEK, or "People's Mujahedin of Iran" - which has itself been known to work with Israel's Mossad intelligence agency.

Iranian state media had confirmed the hack of crucial energy systems, earlier on Tuesday, saying that some of the problems at swamped gas stations have begun to be resolved:

Local news agencies reported on Tuesday that long queues that had been formed in front of gas stations in large Iranian cities had cleared up after Oil Ministry authorities dispatched teams to the forecourts to enable offline fuel delivery.

Iran’s National Virtual Space Center also issued a statement confirming that a cyberattack had targeted the online fuel delivery system in the country.

"Related departments are working to fix the problem and fuel delivery services will return to normal within the next few hours," the official statement said.

NIH Director Francis Collins faces tough questions from CNN about Wuhan lab research, misleads with answers

CNN's Pamela Brown confronted National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins on Sunday on whether there was an "oversight failure" under his leadership that resulted in U.S. taxpayers funding risky coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Last week, the NIH released documents and sent a letter to a Republican lawmaker confirming that EcoHealth Alliance, a U.S. nonprofit that studies emerging diseases, used an award from the agency to fund gain-of-function experiments in Wuhan, China. The letter said that EcoHealth funded an experiment "testing if spike proteins from naturally occurring bat coronaviruses circulating in China were capable of binding to the human ACE2 receptor in a mouse model." The documents released by the NIH revealed the experiment involved cloning MERS-CoV, the virus that caused a deadly outbreak of Middle East respiratory syndrome in 2012, and then engineering the clone by giving it a receptor-binding domain from a bat coronavirus to see if it would be able to enter human cells that were put into mice.

This experiment had the "unexpected result" of making the MERS-based virus more transmissible among the humanized mice, which would apparently meet the NIH's definition of gain-of-function research. And the NIH said in its letter that EcoHealth Alliance violated the terms of its grant by failing to report those results. But Collins and his subordinate, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease Director Dr. Anthony Fauci, have each publicly denied many times that the NIH ever funded gain-of-function research.

Interviewing Collins on Sunday night, Brown asked, given the NIH's admission that EcoHealth Alliance funded research that made a virus more transmissible among human cells, how the agency could claim "the NIH has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute."

"You're just now finding out U.S. tax dollars were being used to pay for this risky research in that Wuhan lab two years ago," Brown said. "So the question is how can you know what this money is going toward? What kind of research this is going toward in places like the Wuhan lab if you're just now finding this out from EcoHealth Alliance how the U.S.' taxpayer dollars were being used?"

In answer, Collins acknowledged that "EcoHealth did violate the terms of their grant award" by failing to report the experiment's "unexpected result" in a timely fashion. But then he argued that even if EcoHealth Alliance had reported its results to the NIH, its gain-of-function experiment was not the kind that requires "special high level oversight," and he emphasized this experiment was "in no way connected" to the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Yeah, they messed up," he said. "We're going to hold them accountable. They sent us a progress report two years late that they should have sent a while ago, and it had information in it that they should have told us about."

Minnesota Surgeon Fired After Speaking Against Mask Mandates at School Board Meeting

A surgeon at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls, Minnesota was fired after speaking against mask mandates at a recent school board meeting.

Dr. Jeffrey Horak, the hospital’s general surgeon of 16 years, was fired less than two weeks after saying that parent’s should be able to make decisions about masks for their children.

“We live in America where freedoms are held close,” Horak told the Wahpeton Daily News. “I am a man who believes individuals have the right to do their research and decide what is best for them and their children when it comes to their health. I don’t believe governments or institutions should dictate that. It’s a position I’ve always have taken. And when the science doesn’t make sense to me it’s hard for me to go along.”

Wahpeton Daily News also obtained the following statement from Kent Mattson, chief executive officer of LRH, regarding the matter: “Lake Region Medical Group (LRMG, the provider group that employed Horak) provided notice to Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) that Dr. Jeff Horak will no longer be available for general surgery services at LRH after Oct. 20, 2021.”

“We sincerely appreciate Dr. Horak’s 16 years of service to our patients and our organizations and we wish him the best as he transitions his practice from here,” Mattson stated, sharing that LRH is working with LRMG to ensure continued access to general surgery services through the organization’s complement of talented and dedicated general surgeons who will “ensure we have surgical coverage in place to provide uninterrupted service for all patient needs.”

In response to his firing, members of the community gathered at the hospital on Monday and sang “God Bless America” and chanted things like “fight for freedom.”

“Completely Reckless” – Louisiana High School Under Investigation For Vaccinating Teenage Students Without Parental Consent

A mother was left stunned and outraged this week when she was made aware of her son receiving a Covid-19 vaccine at his high school without her consent.

Jennifer Ravain – the mother of a 16-year-old student at East Jefferson High School in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana – found out about the “nightmare” scenario on Wednesday, which was when an Oschner mobile vaccination clinic was at the school to vaccinate the teenagers.

Somehow, she says, her son was able to sign the parental consent form himself without anyone notifying her before he received his jab.

Allowing the minor to receive the Covid vaccine without parental consent directly violates the state guidelines, which require a parent or guardian to sign off on the experimental jab before it can be administered to ANYONE who is under the age of 18. The policy is clearly stated as such on the Louisiana Department of Health’s website.

G. Shelly Maturin, the attorney representing Ravain, called out both the school as well as the vaccine clinic for their ‘lawless behavior’ that has created a “nightmare” situation. Maturin also claims that multiple other underage students were also permitted to receive the experimental vaccine without parental consent.

He wrote in a statement:

“The egregious and reckless actions of Ochsner and East Jefferson High school went well beyond any legal and moral bounds and at a minimum, constitute a battery upon the minor child. Their actions should shock the conscience of all citizens of Louisiana.”

Maturin says he’s examining every avenue to hold the vaccine clinic and the district accountable for their egregious actions.

The health care provider who administered the shots at the school, Ochsner Health System, apologized for their employees who ignored the protocols they had in place when vaccinating students at East Jefferson High School. They also confirmed that the incident took place at one of their mobile vaccine clinics that was part of a school vaccination event on October 21, 2021.

Zuckerberg claims Facebook is victim of ‘coordinated media effort’ to tarnish its image with leaked documents

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg pushed back against the recent slew of bad press about the tech giant, blaming a “coordinated effort” by the media to “paint a false picture” of the company by “selectively [using] leaked documents.”

During Facebook’s third-quarter earnings call on Monday, Zuckerberg told investors that the ongoing spate of reportage based on leaked documents from whistleblower Frances Haugen and others was not “good-faith criticism.” He claimed that the news coverage did not reflect the company’s efforts to curb hate speech and disinformation, noting that Facebook was not the “main driver” of societal polarization.

Zuckerberg said that Facebook could not “change the underlying media dynamics” and it simply made for a “good sound bite” to claim the company is “just focused on making money.” He added that the onus should not be on tech companies to “[balance] different difficult social values” and called for “regulation to provide clarity.”

His remarks came on the same day that Haugen, a former product manager in Facebook’s civic misinformation team, told the UK Parliament that the company was “subsidizing hate” by using systems that “prioritize and amplify divisive, polarizing content.” Earlier this month, she told the US Congress that the company prioritized “profit over safety,” and claimed it does not take adequate precautions to ensure the safety of its 2.9 billion users.

Citing leaked internal memos, roughly two-dozen media outlets have published reports about the company’s various failings – including a lack of understanding over how its central algorithms work, prioritizing artificial-intelligence-led content moderation over human oversight, selective rules enforcement, and an inability to spot harmful content like hate speech.

Zuckerberg countered that “any honest account” of the company needed to make clear that the issues related to online harm and polarization are not “primarily about social media.”

The reality is, if social media is not the main driver of these issues, then it probably can’t fix them by itself either… polarization started rising in the US before I was born.

He also touted the platform’s systems as “industry-leading” and held up the creation of Facebook’s Oversight Board as a “model of self-regulation” and highlighted “massive investments in safety and security.”

Although Zuckerberg claimed to have employed 40,000 people and spent nearly $5 billion on safety and security in 2021, that figure was less than the $13 billion touted by several company spokespersons. On Saturday, Facebook Vice-President of Global Affairs Nick Clegg reportedly quoted the higher amount in a memo to staffers.

But similar claims made previously by the company were countered by a leaked internal note that said Facebook would struggle to remove anything beyond 10-20% of hate speech and violent content. Another note by a research group in March 2021 showed that Facebook acts on as few as between 3% and 5% of cases relating to hate speech and about 0.6% of cases involving violent content.

150 arrested in dark web drug bust as police seize €26 million

Police forces across the world have arrested 150 alleged suspects involved in buying or selling illicit goods on the dark web as part of a coordinated international operation involving nine countries.

More than €26.7 million (USD 31 million) in cash and virtual currencies have been seized in this operation, as well as 234 kg of drugs and 45 firearms. The seized drugs include 152 kg of amphetamine, 27 kg of opioids and over 25 000 ecstasy pills.

This operation, known as Dark HunTOR, was composed of a series of separate but complementary actions in Australia, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States, with coordination efforts led by Europol and Eurojust.

Operation Dark HunTOR stems from the takedown earlier this year of DarkMarket, the world’s then-largest illegal marketplace on the dark web. At the time, German authorities arrested the marketplace’s alleged operator and seized the criminal infrastructure, providing investigators across the world with a trove of evidence. Europol’s European Cybercrime Centre (EC3) has since been compiling intelligence packages to identify the key targets.

As a result, 150 vendors and buyers who engaged in tens of thousands of sales of illicit goods were arrested across Europe and the United States. A number of these suspects were considered as High-Value Targets by Europol.

These arrests took place in the United States (65), Germany (47), the United Kingdom (24), Italy (4), the Netherlands (4), France (3), Switzerland (2) and Bulgaria (1). A number of investigations are still ongoing to identify additional individuals behind dark web accounts.

In the framework of this operation the Italian authorities also shut down the DeepSea and Berlusconi dark web marketplaces, which together boasted over 100 000 announcements of illegal products. Four administrators were arrested, and €3.6 million in cryptocurrencies seized.

Europol’s EC3 facilitated the information exchange in the framework of the Joint Cybercrime Action Taskforce (J-CAT) hosted at Europol’s headquarters in The Hague, the Netherlands.

Commenting on Operation Dark HunTOR, Europol’s Deputy Executive Director of Operations, Jean-Philippe Lecouffe, said: “The point of operations such as the one today is to put criminals operating on the dark web on notice: the law enforcement community has the means and global partnerships to unmask them and hold them accountable for their illegal activities, even in areas of the dark web.”

Criminal group behind €45 million money laundering scheme dismantled in Spain

Criminal group has international connections with third countries

On 6 October 2021, 5 suspects were arrested in the Spanish province of Valencia for allegedly belonging to a criminal organisation that had laundered more than €45 million in Spain. This operation was carried out by the Spanish National Police (Policía Nacional), together with the Spanish Tax Agency (Agencia Tributaria) and Europol.

The investigation began in 2017 and focused on an organised crime group which controlled companies based in Spain and in tax havens which appeared to be the recipients of large international transactions.

Investigators detected that a Spanish company, led by a family-run criminal organisation, had introduced over €45 million into the Spanish financial sector, funds with possible illicit origins related to corruption. Investigators examined the commercial operations of this company, mainly operating in the interior design and building decoration business, and discovered their prices to be much higher than market value given that the company was lacking in personnel and infrastructure.

In order to execute their illegal activities, the criminal group made large payments to bank accounts in third countries controlled by frontmen which were then detected as possible bribes.

To hide its extraordinary increase in assets, the criminal group created a corporate structure which was intended to hide the final destination of the illicit funds obtained. A significant amount of these funds was laundered through the acquisition of numerous properties in the city of Valencia.

Europol has provided continuous analysis to support the field investigators in order to develop further intelligence about the detected links to corruption. During the action day, Europol deployed a specialist from its European Financial and Economic Crime Centre (EFECC), to support the national authorities with real-time cross-checks and analysis.

A joint investigation by Spain’s Civil Guard (Guardia Civil) and the French National Gendarmerie (Gendarmerie Nationale), supported by Europol, led officers to dismantle an organised crime group involved in migrant smuggling. The group is believed to have facilitated secondary movements, which is the process of moving irregular migrants from their country of arrival to another destination within the European Union. Incidence of secondary movements is growing, with new organised criminal groups forming in Europe’s transit cities in order to exploit irregular migrants.

New criminal uses for historic tobacco smuggling routes

The organised crime group would firstly seek newly-arrived irregular migrants in southern and eastern Spanish coastal areas such as Murcia, Alicante, Vizcaya, Guipuzcoa, Navarra and Barcelona. The migrants arrived by boat from destinations in North and West Africa. Those irregular migrants would then be taken by road to France via former tobacco smuggling routes in Guipuzcoa and Navarra. The main destination point from there would be Bordeaux, France, with the organised crime group facilitating further illegal immigration from Bordeaux to countries across the European Union.

The criminal group used at least two vehicles to cross the borders. The first transported the irregular migrants, while the second acted as a scout to warn in advance of possible police checkpoints. The suspects instructed the migrants to step out of the car and pretend to hitchhike in case of police checks. Using historic tobacco smuggling routes between Spain and France, the group was operating for about six months. The criminals charged between €100 and €330 for each border crossing. The investigation suggests that they have facilitated at least 60 border-crossings, with three to four migrants per transit.

Europol facilitated the information exchange and provided analytical assistance during the investigation. During the action days, Europol deployed an expert to Pamplona, Spain, to provide operational, analytical and technical support to officers on the ground.

The investigation was developed under the umbrella of EMPACT’s Joint Operational Team Dunquett. This project seeks to disrupt migrant smuggling networks active in Europe’s Atlantic coast.

US Treasury Secretary Yellen Holds Talks With China’s Trade Negotiator

U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen talked to China’s top trade negotiator Liu He via video call on Oct. 25, during which the two sides raised their respective concerns.

Yellen “frankly raised issues of concern,” the U.S. Treasury announced in a short statement without elaborating what the issues were. The statement did add that the two held discussions on “macroeconomic and financial developments” in both nations.

China’s Ministry of Commerce did announce concerns Liu had raised during the virtual meeting. According to a Chinese readout, Vice Premier Liu expressed concerns over U.S. tariffs and sanctions, as well as the U.S. treatment of Chinese companies. The ministry described the bilateral talk as “pragmatic, candid, and constructive.”

The virtual talk came less than a month after Liu held an online meeting with U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai. During that talk, which took place on Oct. 9, Liu pushed Tai to cancel U.S. tariffs, while the two sides “reviewed implementation of the U.S.–China Economic and Trade Agreement.”

The phase one trade deal, signed during the Trump administration in January 2020, requires China to buy at least $200 billion worth of additional U.S. goods and services over the next two years. According to analysts from the Washington-based Peterson Institute for International Economics, China did not fulfill its purchase commitments in 2020 and met about 69 percent through the first eight months of this year.

A few hours after Yellen and Liu talked, China’s hawkish state-run outlet Global Times published its own analysis, saying that it was the U.S. side that was “eager to engage” China since the talk took place “after working hours” in the United States.

Moreover, the article claimed that “it is expected” that Washington would cancel the tariffs on Chinese goods, arguing that the tariffs could be “abolished in an indirect way,” such as tariff exemptions.

Antonio Graceffo, an economics professor and China economic analyst, in his analysis for The Epoch Times on Oct. 19, stated that U.S. tariffs “have punched a tremendous hole in the Chinese economy.”

“Tariffs and other restrictions against China will deny the CCP [Chinese Communist Party] the money it needs to modernize its military, while also protecting U.S. jobs and securing U.S. national defense by reducing U.S. dependence on foreign supply chains,” he added.

On Oct. 4, Tai delivered a major policy address on Sino–U.S. economic ties at the Washington-based think tank Center for Strategic and International Studies. During her speech, she said that Washington will start a “targeted tariff exclusion process” to exempt some Chinese imports from punitive U.S. tariffs, while pressing Beijing over its failure to keep its promises under the phase one trade agreement.

The Ninth Wuhan International Symposium on Modern Virology, which took place September 26th to 28th, was hosted by the State Key Laboratory of Virology at Wuhan University. Among its speakers were several Chinese Communist Party apparatchiks including Director of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention George Gao and the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s “Bat Lady” Shi Zhengli.

Shi, whose controversial work focuses on the manipulation of bat coronaviruses for human infection, delivered an opening keynote address at the conference on “the impact of 2019 new coronavirus mutation on virus pathogenicity and immune escape.” Seven additional speakers at the conference were from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, believed by many to be the source of COVID-19.

NIH Erases Website’s Section on Gain of Function amid Fauci Fallout

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) this month subtly erased its section on gain of function from its website following months of Dr. Anthony Fauci falsely denying that the organization funded such research.

The original page was reportedly altered this month. It featured a series of sections, including one on gain of function, which was as follows:

The term gain-of-function (GOF) research describes a type of research that modifies a biological agent so that it confers new or enhanced activity to that agent. Some scientists use the term broadly to refer to any such modification. However, not all research described as GOF entails the same level of risk. For example, research that involves the modification of bacteria to allow production of human insulin, or the altering of the genetic program of immune cells in CAR-T cell therapy to treat cancer generally would be considered low risk. The subset of GOF research that is anticipated to enhance the transmissibility and/or virulence of potential pandemic pathogens, which are likely to make them more dangerous to humans, has been the subject of substantial scrutiny and deliberation. Such GOF approaches can sometimes be justified in laboratories with appropriate biosafety and biosecurity controls to help us understand the fundamental nature of human-pathogen interactions, assess the pandemic potential of emerging infectious agents, and inform public health and preparedness efforts, including surveillance and the development of vaccines and medical countermeasures. This research poses biosafety and biosecurity risks, and these risks must be carefully managed. “Dr. Fauci never loses! (At least according to his left wing media buds),” Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), one of Fauci’s leading critics, observed.

“Dr. Fauci now maintains experiments are only ‘gain-of-function’ if experimenters knew in advance that the newly created virus would gain lethality,” he explained.

UK Spy Agencies Sign Deal with Amazon to Host Classified Information: Report

Spy agencies in the United Kingdom have inked a billion-dollar deal with the Masters of the Universe at Amazon to host classified information on the tech giant’s cloud computing apparatus.

MI5, the British equivalent to the FBI, MI6, which serves a similar role to the CIA, and the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), which is similar to the NSA, have all agreed to host top-secret information on Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing servers.

According to a report in the Financial Times, the deal is believed to be worth between £500m to £1bn over the next decade. The full details of the agreement have not and most likely will not be made public.

The use of AWS software will reportedly enable quicker cross-agency sharing of information and help agents in the field share data remotely. Amazon is also said to be sharing technology with the government which can “spot” and translate individual voices within lengthy intercepted recordings.

The report has raised eyebrows, as it is believed to be the first of its kind in which British classified material will be stored with a foreign entity. People aware of the scope of the deal told the paper that the information will be held on servers on British soil and Amazon will supposedly be prevented from accessing the intelligence.

However, the executive director of Privacy International, Gus Hosein, said that Parliament and the public should at least be informed about the breadth project.

“This is yet another worrying public-private partnership, agreed in secret,” he said, adding: “If this contract goes through, Amazon will be positioned as the go-to cloud provider for the world’s intelligence agencies. Amazon has to answer for itself which countries’ security services it would be prepared to work for.”

Amazon has already entered into partnerships with intelligence agencies in the United States, including the CIA and the Defense Department, effectively blurring the line between corporations and the state. In a bizarre exchange with children on Monday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson seemingly joked that feeding humans to animals could aid the conservation of wildlife.

Speaking alongside World Wildlife Fund UK chief executive Tanya Steele at a Downing Street meeting with youngsters, Boris Johnson attacked the plastics industry, called for more eating of synthetic meat, and even suggested feeding humans to animals.

Ms Steele told the children: “I think we need to bring nature back… Our planet, 97 per cent of the mass of mammals on this planet is humans and our animals, our domestic animals. Just 3 per cent is left for the wild.”

The Prime Minister replied that the situation was “so sad” and added: “We could feed some of the human beings to the animals.”

“We could have a vote later and ask if there are any candidates,” Ms Steele quipped in return.

In response to the comments, Brexit leader Nigel Farage questioned if the Prime Minister had started drinking again, saying that the PM seems to have “lost his marbles”.

“Once again we see the Prime Minister absolutely, completely in the grip of the Richmond Greens, those for whom a £12,000 heat pump doesn’t really matter,” he said, referencing the government’s net-zero plan to cut out gas boilers.

While Mr Johnson was apparently making the comments in jest, the green movement has long called for population control as a means of reducing carbon emissions and thereby supposedly saving the world from climate change.

The British government has spilled the beans about that fact that once you get “vaccinated” for the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19), you will never again be able to acquire full natural immunity.

In its Week 42 “COVID-19 vaccine surveillance report,” the U.K. Health Security Agency admitted on page 23 that “N antibody levels appear to be lower in people who acquire infection following two doses of vaccination.” It goes on to explain that this antibody drop is basically permanent.

“What’s this mean? Several things, all bad,” writes Alex Berenson. “We know the vaccines do not stop infection or transmission of the virus (in fact, the report shows elsewhere that vaccinated adults are now being infected at much HIGHER rates than the unvaccinated).”

“What the British are saying is they are now finding the vaccine interferes with your body’s innate ability after infection to produce antibodies against not just the spike protein but other pieces of the virus. Specifically, vaccinated people don’t seem to be producing antibodies to the nucleocapsid protein, the shell of the virus, which are a crucial part of the response in unvaccinated people.”

In the long term, people who take an “Operation Warp Speed” jab will be far more vulnerable to any mutations in the spike protein that might come along, even if they have already been infected and recovered once, or more than once.

The unvaccinated, meanwhile, will procure lasting, if not permanent, immunity to all strains of the alleged virus after being infected with it naturally even just once.

“It also means the virus is likely to select for mutations that go in exactly that direction, because those will essentially give it an enormous vulnerable population to infect,” Berenson further warns. “And it probably is still more evidence the vaccines may interfere with the development of robust long-term immunity post-infection.”

Trust in God, not Big Pharma

This is the same thing we have been warning about, only to face ridicule from the mainstream media and government sources that now claim natural immunity does not even exist.

There are two realities taking place simultaneously, in other words: one in which unvaccinated people are trusting God with the immunity, and the other where the “fully vaccinated” are trusting “science,” the government, and the media to give it to them through a needle.

Only one side is correct, and consequently, it is not the one taking the broad road into permanent immune damage through vaccination. The only people left in this world who will have a functioning immune system when all is said and done with this are those who made the decision to leave their bodies alone.

There is simply no need to take an injection for a virus that for most people shows no symptoms at all, let alone for a virus that has never even been isolated and proven to exist in the first place.

Governor Inslee to mandate COVID vaccination for all private businesses

This package, which is an extension of current mandates, grants Inslee the ability to enforce COVID vaccine mandates on all private businesses in the state of Washington and extends Inslee's emergency powers.

The Washington Department or Labor and Industries (L&I) filed an emergency rulemaking package last week extending emergency powers to Democrat Governor Jay Inslee. This package, which is an extension of current mandates, grants Inslee the ability to enforce COVID vaccine mandates on all private businesses in the state of Washington, according to elected officials.

Washington state house representatives Jim Walsh (R-Aberdeen) and Jesse Young (R-Gig Harbor) released a statement on Monday condemning the actions of L&I.

"This mandate from L&I demonstrates a complete lack of transparency, which dilutes public trust in our government and fails to show the agency's good faith in promulgating the rule. The reality is this move by L&I is a blank check for the agency to enforce any of the Governor's mandates or edicts on private employers."

"If L&I desires to make such a rule, it should do so in an open and transparent manner that allows public review and comment. Even if an opportunity for review and comment is not afforded the public, L&I's website should host the proposed rulemaking to grant easy access to the public," they continued. "Furthermore, adopting such a broad, vague rule without clear direction will lead to arbitrary enforcement."

Walsh and Young questioned the ethics of Labor and Industries and said the department cannot demonstrate that it "exercised honestly" to arrive at the rules granted to Governor Inslee.

"There is no clear case for 'good cause' or 'the preservation of the public health, safety, or general welfare' as the governor's proclamation already addresses these issues, making L&I's mandate arbitrary and capricious," the representatives added. "We call on the governor to immediately repeal this mandate. If L&I wants to push this policy, it needs to go through the proper channels and work with the Legislature."

Last week, Walsh announced on Facebook that he had been was locked out of buildings on the Capitol campus in Olympia for failing to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

In the video Walsh said, "…this is not legal and it's not moral. We are absolutely falling into some sort of Stockholm Syndrome that's taken a hold of the legislature here in Olympia. And rather than being that active check against the Governor’s abuses, we're following the Governor's lead. That's not what we're supposed to be doing. Inslee issued a vaccine mandate in August and unlike other mandates across the country, provided no option to test-out. His message was crystal clear, obey or lose your job. Israel refuses to condemn China's abuse of Uyghur Muslims

Israel has dropped its signature from a UN statement condemning China's human rights violations against the Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang province, including torture, forced sterilisation and forced disappearances.

The 43 countries that signed the statement, including Turkey, Japan, Canada, Germany, the US and Britain, expressed particular concern at "credible-based reports" of the existence of "re-education camps" in Xinjiang.

The move comes despite Israel's signing of a statement in June at the UN Human Rights Council urging China to allow independent observers access to its western Xinjiang region. According to the Times of Israel, an Israeli diplomatic official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the government had received a draft resolution beforehand but decided against supporting the initiative, due to "other interests that it has to balance".

The statement was read out by France's Ambassador to the UN, Nicolas De Riviere, at a meeting of the General Assembly's Human Rights Committee. "We call on China to allow immediate, meaningful and unfettered access to Xinjiang for independent observers, including the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and her office," said the signatories. "We are particularly concerned about the situation in the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region."

The statement cited "credible" reports that "indicate the existence of a large network of 'political re-education' camps where over a million people have been arbitrarily detained."

In response, China's UN Ambassador Zhang Jun criticised the statement as "groundless accusations" and "lies". He accused the US and a few other unnamed signatories of "using human rights as a pretext for political manoeuvring to provoke confrontation." The Chinese official defended the development of Xinjiang, saying the lives of its people were getting better by the day. "Your plot to obstruct China's development is doomed to failure," he added.

China has come under increased criticism as a result of its treatment of Uyghur Muslims. In August 2018, a UN Human Rights Committee reported that Beijing is holding nearly one million Uyghur Muslims in secret "re-education" camps in East Turkestan. Many return to their families in a weak condition, unable to walk and talk, and showing signs of abuse.

Out of the 1,334 plans to be deposited, the largest are 399 homes for Revava, 380 for Kedumim and 156 for Givat Ze’ev.

The rest are 100 for Elon Moreh, 100 for Sansana, 86 for Ofarim, 45 for Vered Yeriho, 27 for Karnei Shomron, 18 for Alon Shvut, 116 for Efrat, 10 for Hinanit and seven for Hermesh.

The largest project among those that will receive final approval is 628 for Eli. Other projects include plans for 292 homes for Kfar Etzion, 286 for Har Bracha, 224 for Talmon and 105 for Elon Shvut, 83 for Karnei Shomron, 58 for Beit El, 42 for Givat Ze’ev, 28 for Barkan, 14 for Ma’aleh Michmash, 20 for Shima and 20 for Peduel.

Wednesday’s meeting will mark the first time the council has met since US President Joe Biden took office in January.

Similarly on Sunday, the Construction and Housing Ministry published tenders for 1,355 settler homes. It was the first marking of Jewish homes in Judea and Samaria since Biden took office.

This included, according to the left-wing gourd Peace Now, 731 homes in the Ariel settlement, 346 homes in Beit El, 102 in Elkana, 96 in Adam, 57 in Emmanuel and one in Beitar Illit.

The ministry also published tenders for 83 homes in the new east Jerusalem neighborhood of Givat HaMatos.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has long insisted that he has no plans to freeze settlement activity.

The spokesperson for the European Union said, “We call upon the government of Israel to halt settlement construction and to not proceed with the announced tenders.

“Settlements are illegal under international law and constitute a major obstacle to the achievement of the two-state solution and a just, lasting and comprehensive peace between the parties.”

As the country faces an unprecedented murder spike, President Joe Biden is claiming that eliminating cash bail for violent criminals is critical to promoting "gender equity and equality."

A 42-page report from the White House Gender Policy Council entitled the "National Strategy on Gender Equity and Equality" outlines a "whole of government" approach to ending so-called inequality between men, women, and transgender people. Among the critical steps necessary to remedy disparities between these groups, the White House alleges, is working to overturn cash bail, a legal mechanism that proponents say helps keep violent criminals off the street.

"We will work to end cash bail and reform our pretrial system, recognizing the harm these processes cause, particularly for Black women and families," the report says.

The Biden administration's decision to push for a radical criminal justice reform measure—even as broad swaths of the public say they are concerned about rising violence—reflects the political tensions of an increasingly unpopular president who feels compelled to placate his party’s radical base. Polling from the summer showed crime emerging as a top issue for voters, and some Democrats blamed rioting during Black Lives Matter protests for their poor down-ballot performance last November.

According to FBI data, the country saw a nearly 30 percent increase in homicides in 2020. Such a jump was the largest in one year since the federal government started collecting crime statistics in the 1960s. Overall, violent crime increased 5 percent.

Advocates of maintaining cash bail policies point to cities such as Chicago and New York City, which eliminated the practice for most offenses and saw murders and shootings rise above the national average. One study by researchers at Stanford, Harvard, and Princeton universities concluded that pretrial release increases the likelihood of rearrest before the offender's trial by 37 percent, as well as the chance the alleged criminal misses their court date.

In an effort to alleviate political pressure, Biden announced a new federal program in June to assist departments facing strained funding amid the largest one-year spike in domestic homicides ever recorded. Under Biden's plan, state and local governments are permitted to spend $350 billion in stimulus funds on paying police officers more or restoring the number of hired officers to pre-pandemic levels.

BioNTech Agrees To Construct mRNA Vaccine Manufacturing For African Union

German biotechnology company BioNTech, the co-developer of the Pfizer vaccine, announced Tuesday that it plans to start construction on the first state-of-the-art manufacturing site for mRNA vaccines for the African Union by mid-2022.

The company announced that it has completed construction plans and ordered assets, according to a press release.

After a meeting in August, BioNTech agreed to evaluate establishing sustainable vaccine manufacturing in Rwanda and Senegal. This vaccine manufacturing would benefit member states of the African Union and will manufacture 50 million doses of vaccine per year.

According to BioNTech, the company will initially staff and operate the facility and then transfer management to local partners.

There has been growing criticism of the West's response to the pandemic, vaccines and boosters, leaving many countries without the necessary resources. Africa is the least-vaccinated continent with just over 5% fully vaccinated, according to the World Health Organization.

“By working together, in the spirit of this meeting, the African Union, the European Union, key technology partners, and other stakeholders, can make decisive contributions and effective coordination in the fight against this pandemic, and future health challenges," said Dr. Monique Nsanzabaganwa, deputy chairperson of the African Union Commission.

It is expected that building vaccine manufacturing hubs in Africa will reduce African countries’ dependence on the international community. According to the WHO, the continent relies on imports for 99% of vaccine needs.

“State-of-the-art facilities like this will be life-savers and game-changers for Africa and could lead to millions of cutting-edge vaccines being made for Africans, by Africans in Africa. This is also crucial for transferring knowledge and know-how, bringing in new jobs and skills and ultimately strengthening Africa’s health security. WHO is ready to work with countries to step up their commitment to vaccine manufacturing,” said Dr. Matshidiso Moeti, WHO organization regional director for Africa.

The news came after the biotech company’s announcement of its goal to develop a malaria vaccine and its partnership with a South African vaccine manufacturer Biovac.

FDA Buries Data on Seriously Injured Child in Pfizer’s COVID-19 Clinical Trial

When Stephanie and Patrick de Garay enrolled their 12-year-old child Maddie and her two brothers in Pfizer’s Covid-19 clinical trial, they believed they were doing the right thing.

That decision has turned into a nightmare. Maddie, a previously healthy, energetic, full of life child, was within 24 hours of her second dose reduced to crippling, scream-inducing pain that landed her in the emergency room where she described feeling like someone was “ripping [her] heart out through [her] neck.”

Unfortunately, other than a call arranged by Maddie’s neurologist, there was no follow-up or response from NIH or any other federal health agency. Even after Ms. de Garay did a press event on June 28, 2021 with Senator Ron Johnson, neither Pfizer nor any health agency reached out in any manner to address Maddie’s injury or obtain any additional information.

Australian Federal Police to Chair Five Eyes Law Enforcement Group

Australian Federal Police Commissioner Reece Kershaw assumes the chair of the Five Eyes Law Enforcement Group (FELEG).

Commissioner Kershaw acknowledged outgoing chair, US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Administrator Anne Milgram, for her leadership and commitment to the law enforcement alliance, which includes United States, Canada, United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia.

Under his two-year term as chair, Commissioner Kershaw will continue to build on FELEG’s crucial role in sharing intelligence and facilitating global criminal investigations with like-minded countries.

“The mission statement of FELEG is to use and leverage its collective capabilities to impact the transnational criminal and national security environment with the goals of making our nations safer,’’ Commissioner Kershaw said.

“The global threats from transnational organised crime against governments, business and individuals have been compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Now more than ever, FELEG will be invaluable in impacting the serious threats that undermine international and domestic security, financial stability and democracy.”

Commissioner Kershaw said the AFP’s most successful crime operation in the organisation’s 40-year history, Operation Ironside, was executed with the support of international law enforcement agencies, including FELEG members.

FELEG’s strategic direction is set in consensus between agency principals. While that direction may complement law enforcement activity, it does not override the policing priorities of member countries.

The FELEG chair rotates through the heads of nine member agencies – across five countries – every two years.

The AFP’s operational priorities are transnational serious organised crime; counter terrorism; espionage and foreign interference; cyber and fraud, and child exploitation.

“These are borderless crimes. Strong law enforcement partnerships are integral in keeping Australia, and Australia’s interests, safe,’’ Commissioner Kershaw said.

“In my third year as AFP Commissioner, the AFP will use its capability, resources and unique partnerships to continue to identify, disrupt and take action against offenders who threaten Australia.

“The AFP and our partners are ensuring we are prepared for the re-opening of international borders in the wake of COVID-19.
