Guise do you recommend any particular program or app to edit pictures in, like Photoshop style?

I would like to edit the JAWS movie poster to sayLAWS, instead, since it's the laws that will ultimately destroy our sons-of-bitches enemies.

Once the big J is turned into an L I can edit the names in Adobe, but I'm too poor for a Photoshop subscription at the moment.
