A few issues with your statement. Initially, he was defending property that wasn't even his, nor his place of employment. He obtained the firearm illegally by IL and WI state laws (underage, and illegal transfer). Having said all that:
It is NOT illegal to carry a loaded weapon in public.
It is NOT illegal to "walk down the street" with said weapon.
It is NOT illegal for someone under the age of 18 to carry said loaded weapon while walking down the street if under the supervision of an adult in both IL and WI (depending on local ordinances).
It is NOT illegal for someone to use said weapon in self defense granted the circumstances can be proven that it was used in that manner (watch the video for the answer to that question).
Kyle's situation comes down to legality. He broke several laws; period. He also acted in self defense, legally; period. It's very clear the people he shot were looters/rioters, the judge seems to recognize this, and it's triggering the absolute fuck out of these morons that would rather see cities burn and pedos live on vs a young man who got a little ahead of himself, legally, in doing what most normal folks would do in defense of their homes/businesses.
-
Where were his parents?
-
Who gave him the firearm?
-
Why weren't the police stopping the looting themselves? (We already know the answer to this one).
-
Why havn't his charges been changed to the laws he actually broke?
-
Why aren't they (then) dismissing those charges due to the extenuating (and preposterous) circumstances?
-
Why aren't the media being charged with defamation/slander?
People getting stuck on stupid and not thinking about the totality of everything that happened. Again, it seems the judge actually has a clue about how law and order works. Good for Kyle. Bad for the asshats defending the lawless nitwits.
