germ theory is bogus, gravity not so much
I'm praying for your wife and you, and your family life. May I suggest I think your wife lacks serotonin, and with me I must take 5HTP daily, for me it's reduced since I am on ADD meds, as my dopimene goes up my serotonin goes down. But there are long term studies that 5HTP is needed for people with long term stress. It's a natural essential amino acid and all amino acids feed the brain. This in many cases replaces the need for anti depressants and Serotonin re-uptake inhibitors. Also check out KAVA KAVA a natural supplements that in studies are as effective as benzodiazaprene (Xanax) for anxiety. Both have served me well with no side effects. God Bless, but it seems she has a biochemical imbalance that can be helped by natural supplements
5-HTP And Anxiety: Uses, Benefits, And Side Effects

This article discusses 5-Hyrdroxytryptophan. Please consult with your doctor or primary care physician before considering any medication or supplement options.
What Is 5-HTP?
5-Hyrdroxytryptophan, otherwise known as 5-HTP, or Oxitriptan, is an amino acid building block for the brain's production of serotonin, which is a neurotransmitter that works to regulate mood and anxiety. When serotonin levels are normal, they can contribute to a happy disposition and a healthy sleep cycle.
5-HTP is actually a chemical that your body produces on its own, but the natural production of 5-HTP decreases as a person ages. Taking additional 5-HTP as a supplement is believed to be a way of artificially boosting the body's production of serotonin, which may lead to numerous health and mental health benefits.
5-HTP is considered a dietary supplement and is sold over the counter in the United States. However, unlike many other supplements, 5-HTP does not occur naturally in the foods we eat. It has been available in the U.S. without a doctor's prescription since the mid-1990s and sold as a medicine in several European countries since the 1970s.
5-HTP is produced from the seeds of Griffonia simplicifolia, a woody shrub grown primarily in West Africa. It is used to treat a wide array of disorders and conditions, including anxiety, insomnia, depression, migraine, and more.
Doctors have long used prescription medications to manage and treat conditions like depression and anxiety. The appeal of using 5-HTP instead is that it could be a natural or holistic substitute, or at the very least a compliment, to prescription mental health treatments.
Potential Uses For 5-HTP
5-HTP is said to alleviate symptoms of the following conditions:
Obesity

Anon I mentioned Kava Kava in my response, here's info on it, I hope this helps your wife, and you may want to take some and 5HTP considering you've gone through long term stress also.
What is Kava?
Kava is an herbaceous shrub native to tropical islands of the Pacific ocean such as Fiji, Vanuatu, Tonga, and Samoa. The roots are brewed as strong tea induce states of tranquility, peace, and in higher doses, even a mild intoxication.
Kava is consumed in groups for celebrations and peaceful gatherings — and alone for meditative, and personal reflection. Many people today use kava in capsule form for managing anxiety, insomnia, and muscle tension.
Kava is an unusual plant. It doesn’t produce any seeds. Therefore kava can’t use traditional methods of proliferation. In order to reach new areas to grow, kava must be propagated by cuttings made from the roots — which relies heavily on human intervention.
Kava has many benefits, almost all of which revolve around the interaction between its active constituents — the kavalactones — and the mammalian central nervous system. The effects of the kavalactones are especially relevant for anxiety. They change the balance of neurochemistry from a state of activation, anxiety, and stress, to a state of relaxation, peace, and tranquility.
We’ll cover exactly how this works in more detail below.
People who drink kava feel a general sense of wellbeing. Users often describe feeling carefree and at peace. The stress response is dulled, muscles relax, and racing thoughts begin to settle in the mind.
These effects are the perfect counteraction to anxiety symptoms. Affected individuals feel a sense of impending doom, muscle tension in the neck and back, irritability, and intense worry.
How Much Kava Should I Take For Anxiety?
In general, one dose of kava powder is about 10 grams. This dose may need to be increased or decreased depending on how you respond individually.
In early human evolution when we first acquired these traits, this meant fending off altercations with wild animals, surviving famine, or recovering from personal injuries.
Anxiety is a tool to help us survive these incidents.
For many people, anxiety becomes pathological — causing us more harm than good. Anxiety that becomes pathological can have a dramatic negative impact on your life. It can cause you to avoid friends or family, stop doing the activities you love, and can even make it difficult to leave the comfort of your own home.
Anxiety can become problematic in three ways:
Feeling anxious at inappropriate times (like being in a public or social environment)
Feeling excessive amounts of anxiety in relation to the situation (like panic attacks triggered by minor stresses or phobias)
Anxiety episodes that go on for too long, or too frequently (like hyperactive insomnia keeping us awake at night)
Different Types of Anxiety
Anxiety is both a symptom and a condition. There are many causes for feelings of anxiety — such as side-effects from medications or byproducts of other health conditions.
Conditions that involve anxiety as a key element:
Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) — severe, ongoing anxiety with normal daily activities
Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) — fear of being judged or doing something embarrassing in social situations
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) — severe anxiety as a result of a traumatic event
Separation Anxiety Disorder — fear of being away from a loved one
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) — obsessing over thoughts or actions leading to repetitive behavior
Panic Disorder — recurring panic attacks at random or unexpected times
What Causes Anxiety?
When we feel anxious, what we’re feeling is the body’s stress response.
Stress is designed to help us get out of situations that pose a threat to our health — like coming face to face with a dangerous animal, getting lost or trapped, or sustaining an injury. In these cases, stress and anxiety help us get out of these sticky situations by giving us a surge of energy, increasing our awareness, and inducing a sense of fear to motivate us to leave the situation.
This is called the “fight or flight response” because it conditions the body to either fight off danger, or run away from it.

you are welcome, both supplements 5HTP and Kava Kava are cheap. Check the website on Kava article, they have recommended kinds. I used natural supplements not bought at pharmacy, but NOW is a good source for 5HTP
but we don't have Tday but once a year and we all need this based on the lifestyle and food sources now. It's cheap and really helps to replace what you cannot find in food
