Your description and follow through is much better than mine, but yes… that is thisanon’s impression of the overwhelming majority of ‘intel’ sorts i have interacted with over the past thirty years here in NoVa.
Years ago, when I started ever so gently tickling [them] here in my neighborhood… i never tried to get them to ‘share’ the ‘secrets’ of their ‘clearance’ works… my interest was about their personalities. That is how i have arrived at my current thesis. Few are seemingly ‘fundamentally devious’, but their gullibility and lack of radars for truly underhanded ponerology is clearly lacking.
Important to add:
If, i say IF playing ‘dumb’ to neighbors and friends is ALSO part of their super secret training and act with the public… the problem with that is that they still DO NOT help the public acquire a necessary and healthy resistance to falsities floating around. If they do not ‘sincerely’ point to other false information floating around in public to deflect criticisms, they will at times sarcastically regurgitate some trite line with a smirk, and change the subject.
None of that activity is helpful.
This anon is mostly over with my field research stage… when i get those sorts of blow-off lines from them now, i simply invite them as politely as possible, to stay the fuck away from me as best they can if only for their own selfish job security and pensions, for i can no longer assure them i will be able to maintain my track record of cool.
