The sun is much brighter today in the Pacific Northwest especially noticeable in the glare from reflections on cars.

I have long thought that the best place to hide a satellite or space station was in front of the sun in a 24 hour orbit tracking the same relative position to the sun. Think ELYSIUM.
a constellation of satellites with HAARP style antennas could simulate a SKY event like extra solar radiation or auroras.
