The CIA's torture of Majid Khan, of Baltimore Maryland, was so heinous that a secret deal was reached with senior Pentagon officials allowing for his release within the next couple years, despite a symbolic 26 year sentence for his connections to Al Qaeda.

Although this was kept secret from the jurors, upon hearing the details of what the CIA did to him at three separate black sites, seven of the eight senior military officials conducting the trial wrote and signed a two-page handwritten letter requesting clemency for the man. In the letter they referred to the CIA's actions as " stain on the moral fiber of America".
This is the latest in a series of horrifying revelations of activity at Guantanamo Bay and other off-site CIA operations.
