>The Catholic Mary no way resembles the Mary of the scripture. Even in the days of Jesus, people tried to elevate Mary in a position that was not hers (Luke 11:27). But Jesus immediately corrected them and said, 'Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it' (Luke 11:28).
Because you ignore history and tradition within the church. You take the scripture out of context, which is actually tradition itself. Every Church in the world with the exception of the protestant churches which came 1500 years after Christ, reveres Our Lady. Jesus said to John "Behold your Mother" and to Mother Mary "Behold your Son". You cannot ignore this fact. Clearly Mother Mary became the Mother of the Church in this moment, the final request of Our dying Lord… and you deny it.
>The Catholic Church says Mary was a perpetual virgin having no other children after Jesus, but Jesus had brothers and sisters (Matthew 13:55,56, Mark 6:3,Acts 1:14, Galatians 1:19). Mary remained a virgin only until Jesus was born (Matthew 1:25).
This is ridiculous to assume. If Mary had other children to take care of her, Jesus would have entrusted her to them. Instead she is entrusted to John.
>The Catholic Church says that Mary, and saints in general, are a mediator between God and man; whereas, the scriptures reveal that Jesus is the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5, 1 John 2:1, Acts 4:12).
Kek… I guess you only pray to Jesus for yourself then. Because if you pray for others that makes you an intercessor between those you pray for and Christ.
Also [An] angel came and stood at the altar [in heaven] with a golden censer; and he was given much incense to mingle with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar before the throne; and the smoke of the incense rose with the prayers of the saints from the hand of the angel before God" (Rev. 8:3-4). And those in heaven who offer to God our prayers aren’t just angels, but humans as well. John sees that "the twenty-four elders [the leaders of the people of God in heaven] fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and with golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints" (Rev. 5:8). The simple fact is, as this passage shows: The saints in heaven offer to God the prayers of the saints on earth.
>The Catholic Church says Mary was sinless, scripture says everyone, except Christ, has sinned (Romans 3:23).
So you deny Our Lady as the new Eve, and believe that God was born of a woman with sin? Tragic
