Got bit by a deer tick yesterday. Bite is on my right shoulder blade.

Entire right side of back is achy and having muscle spasms.

Going to the doctor tomorrow morning.

Hope I don't have Lyme disease.

Any anons have any suggestions of what I should know in advance of seeing doc.

I guess I'll probably need a blood test and if it's positive they put me on some kind of antibiotics.

Much of what I've read about ticks is that the bite is not felt.

For me, it felt like someone was jabbing me in the back with a pointy stick.

It was definitely a deer tick. Spouse anon was able to remove it intact.

Now I'm all achy where it was.

Some on-line sources say it may be an allergic reaction to the tick bite.
