How to equip the armor of God
Let’s look at the text in whole: Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,
Verse 10:
>The Lord is the strongest armor and will equip you if you ask Him.
Verse 11:
>Wear God like armor. Let his good plans for your life be your strength.
>How? Equip yourself with His thoughts of love about you so you can take the attacks
Verse 12:
>There are forces of evil that operate from dark places of power and can do damage apart from God.
>With God’s armor, you can withstand what they send.
Verse 13:
>Above all, stay standing (idleness leaves you open to attack)
Verse 14-17: (each armor piece)
Belt of Truth:
>Let everything you wear outwardly be tied together with truth. Your words, actions and deeds are all held together by truth, otherwise you’re left exposed.
Breastplate of Righteousness:
>Be a patriot, be on the side of good and wear it proudly without shame.
Shoes of Peace:
>The Gospel of God’s love brings an unshakable peace, let them carry your feet wherever you go.
>Whats the good news? Death and destruction have no power over you. You're redeemed and going to heaven because of Christ.
Shield of Faith:
>Faith is a confidence of the end result (Heb 11:1). You know you’re on the winning team. How can you lose?
>Let that deep faith take the darts from wicked forces. You'll remain upright.
>Faith in God produces a greater shield.
Helmet of Salvation:
>Knowing you are saved by the love of God will protect against the attacks of the mind.
>No MK Ultra Allowed!
Sword of the Spirit – The ‘Word’ of God:
>The word in original Greek translation is Rhema, meaning a SPOKEN word of God.
>All written words in the bible were once spoken, but the most effective sword is freshly spoken words from God himself to you. (See 1 Cor 12- God speaks to you too)
Verse 18:
>Let your spirit do the heavy lifting in prayer. Follow your “gut” feelings. Praying in the spirit in the way that seems effective for you. For some that is an outward voice, for others a hum/whistle, keep your “spirit” high and uplifted.
>And don’t forget your friends in the fight too, pray for them.
Personally, I like to think of my armor as "always on" so the forces of evil can't attack at any time.
Simple prayer to consider:
"God, I have been following Q anon who has emphasized the importance of your love, the salvation from your son, and your armor. I ask that you equip me with this full armor, to grant me full salvation through the sacrifice your son Jesus made, to help him become my Lord and savior, and to show me the path to conquer the present darkness by your great love and justice. Cover me with the protection of your Spirit, bless and protect me, my family, my friends, patriots, and the President. Bring us totally unity and freedom so that where we go one, we go all. In the name of Jesus, amen."
