I have a hard time believing there are uncharted seamounts. To anon's understanding the modern navies of the world have extensively mapped and plotted every feature of the sea floor to enable submarine navigation and warfighting, among other things.

The idea that they missed a mountain sounds fake and ghey. Without any evidence, anon puts more weight on them colliding with another sub, or sustaining torpedo damage.

Anon is correct. This is the first thing I checked when our Palmyra larper started posting this map every day. The quake dots are obviously and easily seen to be every 100th of a degree. Occams razor says this is just a map position visual and not the actual pinpointed location of the quake.

Not to mention, that particular sub is outfitted with some kind of shallow water array, and the South China sea is a fairly shallow sea. Presumably that is why you would want the sub there trolling around in the first place.
