It can almost be considered a win for them. They get to dismiss allegations of voter fraud, and they reinforce the idea that the country is evenly divided, and that it was "really close".
I'm sure they cheated in this just as bad as they normally do, which is why it was so close, but they were overwhelmed by the R votes.
