Texas Border Protection officers seize over $1.5 Million in meth being smuggled into U.S. by American woman

BROWNSVILLE, Texas — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Gateway International Bridge seized $1,530,874 in methamphetamine.

“Our officers used their experience and inspection skills to intercept this significant load of prohibited narcotics, delivering another significant blow to illicit drug trafficking in our area,” said Port Director Tater Ortiz, Brownsville Port of Entry.

On Thursday, Oct. 28, CBP officers working at the Gateway International Bridge encountered a 44-year-old female United States citizen from Brownsville, Texas, who applied for entry into the United States driving a 2008 Ford pickup. The vehicle was referred to CBP secondary for further examination after a primary inspection. In secondary, with the aid of a non-intrusive imaging system (NII) and a canine unit, CBP officers discovered 24 packages hidden within the 2008 Ford pickup. CBP officers removed the packages, which contained a total of 76.54 pounds of alleged methamphetamine.

The estimated street value of the narcotics from the seizure is approximately $1,530,874.

CBP officers seized narcotics along with the vehicle, arrested the driver and turned her over to the custody of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agents for further investigation.

Fauci Staffers Flagged Potential Gain-Of-Function Research At Wuhan Lab In 2016, Records Reveal

Two subordinates of Dr. Anthony Fauci raised concerns in May 2016 that taxpayer dollars may be funding gain-of-function experiments on bat coronaviruses at a Wuhan lab, but dropped the issue after nonprofit group EcoHealth Alliance downplayed the concerns, documents show.

The National Institutes of Allergies and Infectious Diseases staffers reversed course after requesting EcoHealth Alliance President Peter Daszak submitted a “determination” to the agency that downplayed the risks of his proposed experiments, the records show.

“The NIH, incredibly, accepted EcoHealth’s belief that this work would not be considered gain of function, and accepted EcoHealth’s rationale for this belief,” Rutgers University professor Richard Ebright told the DCNF.

Daszak also notified NIAID staffers in a June 27, 2016, email that he was reliant on Wuhan Institute of Virology researcher Shi Zhengli, who has known ties with the Chinese military, to notify him if their lab-created viruses exhibited enhanced replication.

The records were obtained by the White Coat Waste Project as the result of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit and provided exclusively to the DCNF.

The letter requested EcoHealth provide its own “determination” as to whether its proposed experiments in Wuhan included gain of function research.

EcoHealth President Peter Daszak submitted his “determination” to the NIAID in a June 8, 2016 letter that downplayed potential risks associated with his group’s proposed research in Wuhan, which involved the creation of lab-made chimeric coronavirus, and denied it involved gain of function.

The NIAID then gave Daszak the opportunity to submit an amended version of his letter on June 27, 2016, after discovering a factual error in the initial filing, emails show. The agency then used Daszak’s revised letter, which kept the original June 8 filing date, as the basis of its own determination on July 7 that EcoHealth’s research did not involve gain of function.

NIH Principal Deputy Director Lawrence Tabak informed lawmakers in late October that Daszak did not stay true to his promise, saying EcoHealth failed to report right away that it created a lab-made SARS coronavirus in Wuhan using the WIV1 backbone that was more deadly and pathogenetic towards mice with humanized cells.

Despite Tabak’s letter, Fauci and the NIH maintain that the research they funded at the Wuhan Institute of Virology did not involve gain of function research.

Fauci and the NIH also maintain that it is “molecularly impossible” for the viruses that EcoHealth and the Wuhan Institute of Virology were tinkering with to have turned into the virus that causes COVID-19.

“When people talk about gain-of-function, they make that implication which I think is unconscionable to do, to say, ‘Well, maybe that research led to SARS-CoV-2’,” Fauci told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos in October. “You can ask any person of good faith who’s a virologist, and they will tell you, absolutely clearly, that that would be molecularly impossible.”

The letters between NIAID and EcoHealth discussing the potential gain of function research in Wuhan in 2016 were obtained by the White Coat Waste Project as the result of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit.

The letters were first alluded to by House Energy and Commerce Committee ranking member Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers and other top Republican lawmakers in an Oct. 27 letter to NIH Director Francis Collins.

McMorris Rodgers said the NIH allowed committee staffers to review the communications during a private in-person inspection at the Department of Health and Human Services’ headquarters but refused to release copies of the letters to the committee.

Prior to his upset victory last night, Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin campaigned on promises to end lockdowns, stop coronavirus vaccine mandates, and remove anti-white CRT from education.

Following a tough race in Virginia against former Democrat Governor Terry McAuliffe, Youngkin has become the Governor-elect, standing on a platform that has appealed to much of the Republican base, seemingly even managing to convert some former liberals who were concerned about the influence that the radical left has on the Democrat Party.

Conservatives and supporters of 45th President Donald Trump have much to look forward to under his leadership in Virginia, at least according to Youngkin’s campaign promises. The primary issue that may have turned many voters off from McAuliffe towards Youngkin was his recent strong stance against the indoctrination of children into believing anti-white critical race theory that was taking place in Virginia’s schools, and schools across the nation.

Youngkin stood with parents against McAuliffe, who during the campaign suggested that they should have no input into the education of the children. With Virginia voters, who named education as their number one priority, a 33 point lead in the opinion polls for McAuliffe in September transferred to a 9 point lead for Youngkin in the last days of the race.

This gives the Governor-elect a strong mandate to reform the education system, and crack down on school boards that leave children vulnerable to both psychological and physical harm from those who push for an anti-white or LGBT agenda.

When he begins his term as Governor, Youngkin further promised that economically-damaging coronavirus lockdowns would come to an end pm tje forst day, saying in a campaign stop on Monday that he would declare Virginia “open for business.”

This promise flies in the face of those such as Anthony Fauci and Joe Biden who have been pushing for the country to sacrifice everything for a virus with an almost 99% survival rate.

DeSantis unveils plan for new police force to pursue election crimes in Florida

Governor also seeks enhanced penalties for voting crimes and suggests he'd like to eliminate drop boxes.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Wednesday he is creating a new police unit to pursue election crimes full-time and wants lawmakers to enhance penalties for those who cheat when they vote, signaling Republican efforts to enhance election integrity are far from over.

The Republican governor's announcement of the Office of Election Crimes and Security at a news conference in West Palm Beach, Fla., comes just months after he signed a law tightening security for mail-in ballots and as Republicans in many states seek statewide audits for the 2020 elections.

"I guarantee you this: The first person that gets caught, no one is going to want to do it again after that,” DeSantis said in describing the deterrent he hopes to create with the new investigative office.

DeSantis also called on the GOP-controlled Legislature to put additional restrictions on the use of drop boxes, suggesting he has soured on their value two years after the state first approved them. “I don’t even think we should have drop boxes,” he said.

He said the new office would help focus on illegal election tactics such as ballot harvesting, in which third-parties illegally collect the ballots of voters and deliver them for counting.

"If someone’s ballot harvesting, you report it to these people and this is their sole job,” he said. “Some of these counties, some of them will do the cases but that’s not their expertise. They got all these other crimes that they have to deal with. So by the time it happens, the election’s already over.”

Democrats immediately derided his announcement.

Washington Post Wants Facebook to Shut Down PJ Media and Others for ‘Climate Denial’

While the Washington Post piously reminds us that “democracy dies in darkness,” it’s busy shooting out the lights: on Tuesday it published a lengthy call to Facebook to shut down dissident media, including PJ Media, because, you see, the non-Leftist publications are daring to spread “climate change denial” on the platform. Not just democracy, but also the freedom of speech dies in darkness if the Post gets its way.

The Post article focuses upon a newly published study from one of the endless stream of far-Left advocacy groups masquerading as think tanks, the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), which the Post hastens to assure us is a nonprofit. Of course. What else could it possibly be called?

Disagree with the Leftist establishment about the causes of and/or remedies for climate change, and what else could possibly be your motivation but “hate”? You don’t want to see your country voluntarily impoverish itself and empower the People’s Republic of China in service of unproven assumptions and selective application of accountability? Come on, man! You’re just a bigot!

The CCDH study supposedly shows that “10 publishers, including RT and the Federalist Papers, are responsible for nearly 70 percent of interactions with climate change misinformation on the platform.” The CCDH has labeled these publishers the “Toxic Ten,” and they comprise virtually all of the major dissident platforms operating today: Breitbart, the Western Journal, Newsmax, the Media Research Center, the Washington Times, “the Federalist Papers,” by which these top-notch researchers apparently mean the Federalist, the Daily Wire, and the Patriot Post, along with Russian State Media (what’s a Leftist conspiracy theory these days without the Russians) and of course Townhall Media, including PJ Media, Townhall, Red State, and Twitchy.

These publications, the Post claims, put out “a broad range of climate disinformation, including articles that undermine the existence or impacts of climate change or misrepresent data in ways that might erode trust in climate science experts.” They’re out there exercising the freedom of speech, utterly heedless of the looming apocalypse: “The study comes amid increasing political concern about the catastrophic impact of climate change, as global leaders gather in Glasgow for the United Nations-brokered COP26, described as the last chance for nations to hammer out a unified plan to significantly cut greenhouse gases.”

The Post hopes that the CCDH report will put an end to all that and bring about still more ideological conformity on Facebook: “While the report doesn’t provide a comprehensive look at all misleading climate change content promoted on Facebook, it has the potential to inspire political action as the CCDH has historically captured policymakers’ attention.”

It notes that the CCDH’s earlier report, which targeted the “disinformation dozen” who supposedly spread “anti-vaccine content,” was repeatedly cited by the White House along with numerous lawmakers in Congress, and it was used as a proxy for questions about the role of social media in aggravating vaccine hesitancy.”

Gov. Ron DeSantis Knocks the ‘Brandon Administration,’ Crowd Erupts in Chants of ‘Let’s Go, Brandon’

A crowd erupted in chants of the ever-viral “Let’s Go, Brandon!” during Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) press conference Wednesday, after the governor blasted the progressive left and the “Biden or Brandon administration” pursuing a “woke agenda.”

“You look at the things going on. You see Big Tech. You see corporate media. They weren’t very happy with Virginia last night,” DeSantis said during a press conference in West Palm Beach, where he announced steps the Florida legislature will take in the next session to beef up election integrity in the state.

“You look at that you look at what’s going on with some of the big corporations with their woke agenda. When you look at the Biden or Brandon administration,” he continued as the crowd erupted into the viral chant “Let’s Go, Brandon!”

DeSantis briefly told the crowd about the origin of the viral chant, which has in many ways become a staple of the right’s resistance to Biden’s progressive agenda.

“It was at a NASCAR race and they’re doing an interview with the driver. I guess his name is Brandon. And the crowd starts chanting very colorful language about Joe Biden. And it was obvious what they were doing, and you know. It is what it is,” DeSantis explained, noting the left said “way worse about Trump for four years.”

“We know that. … But so they’re chanting this, and you have a reporter from NBC who knows that’s what they’re saying, and she’s trying to cover for Biden so she says, ‘Yeah they’re chanting Let’s Go, Brandon,'” he explained.

“That was a lie … so this chant, I think, has taken on a life of its own because it exposes the dishonesty of corporate reporters,” the governor said.

“But bottom line, we’ve got a lot of things we’re facing. We’ve now seen after Virginia, people are willing to fight back,” he said to cheers, adding that he, too, is “willing to fight back.”

“What we need now more than ever with all the stuff that’s going on, is we need people to stand for the right things, but they need to stand up and they need to display courage and backbone and not back down in the face of all the things we have to deal with,” the governor said, quoting Winston Churchill and adding, “We don’t have the time for boneless wonders right now.”

"Shocker": Pentagon Review Finds 'No Misconduct' Or Legal Violations In Kabul Drone Strike That Killed Children

What's being called an "independent" Pentagon investigation has now concluded over the Aug.29 drone strike on a car in Kabul which killed innocent civilians at a moment US troops were overseeing a desperate, chaotic evacuation from the Afghan capital's airport. US defense officials had initially hailed it as a "successful" operation to kill ISIS-K terrorists.

It was widely seen as a 'revenge' strike for the days prior ISIS suicide attack at an airport gate which killed 13 American troops and 169 Afghans. Weeks later, a New York Times investigation revealed the strike actually took out a local worker for a US humanitarian organization named Zemerai Ahmadi and his nine family members - seven of which were children. Meanwhile the Pentagon kept altering its narrative of events until belatedly admitting the mass killing of an innocent family.

"An independent Pentagon review has concluded that the U.S. drone strike that killed innocent Kabul civilians and children in the final days of the Afghanistan war was not caused by misconduct or negligence, and it doesn’t recommend any disciplinary action," The Associated Press is reporting Wednesday. More simply, there will be no accountability.

Something Really Strange Is Happening At Hospitals All Over America

In a year that has been filled with so many mysteries already, I have another very odd one to share with you. Emergency rooms are filled to overflowing all over America, and nobody can seem to explain why this is happening. Right now, the number of new COVID cases in the United States each day is less than half of what it was just a couple of months ago. That is really good news, and many believe that this is a sign that the pandemic is fading. Let us hope that is true. With less people catching the virus, you would think that would mean that our emergency rooms should be emptying out, but the opposite is actually happening. All across the country, emergency rooms are absolutely packed, and in many cases we are seeing seriously ill patients being cared for in the hallways because all of the ER rooms are already full.

Let me give you an example of what I am talking about. The following comes from an article entitled “ERs Are Swamped With Seriously Ill Patients, Although Many Don’t Have Covid”…

Inside the emergency department at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan, staff members are struggling to care for patients showing up much sicker than they’ve ever seen.

Tiffani Dusang, the ER’s nursing director, practically vibrates with pent-up anxiety, looking at patients lying on a long line of stretchers pushed up against the beige walls of the hospital hallways. “It’s hard to watch,” she said in a warm Texas twang.

But there’s nothing she can do. The ER’s 72 rooms are already filled.

Can anyone explain why this is happening?

If the number of COVID cases was starting to spike again, it would make sense for emergency rooms to be overflowing.

But at this particular hospital in Michigan, we are being told that some of the main things that are being treated include “abdominal pain”, “respiratory problems”, “blood clots” and “heart conditions”…

Months of treatment delays have exacerbated chronic conditions and worsened symptoms. Doctors and nurses say the severity of illness ranges widely and includes abdominal pain, respiratory problems, blood clots, heart conditions and suicide attempts, among other conditions.

That mention of “heart conditions” immediately got my attention, because I have been seeing this so much in the news recently.

For instance, a high school senior in Pennsylvania just dropped dead from “a sudden cardiac incident”…

The high school soccer manager ‘greatly enjoyed’ his team’s championship victory Saturday. Later that evening, he was dead.

Now, late student Blake Barklage’s high school is mourning his untimely death. As 6ABC in Philly reports, the tragedy occurred at La Salle College High School in Montgomery County, Pa.

In a letter to parents, the school announced that the senior died after ‘a sudden cardiac incident’ Saturday night.

Speaking in 2017, then Labor deputy leader Tanya Plibersek warned the questions about Mr Frydenberg’s eligibility for Parliament were “getting into pretty disturbing territory. I mean, these people like many millions fled the Holocaust,’’ she said.

The problem is that it's not the point, not the reason for Frydenberg’s possible – or probable – ineligibility.

Frydenberg might yet fall to an s44, though this article has nothing to do with any such possibility. It’s unlikely at best.

What this article is about is Frydenberg knowingly giving false information to the Parliament.

In his Statement in Relation to Citizenship – 45th Parliament, Joshua Anthony Frydenberg correctly noted his mother’s birth details as 5 October 1943 in Budapest.

When asked, under Section 3(d) of the form to list the steps he had taken to assure himself he had not ‘acquired citizenship of another country by descent, marriage or other means’, Frydenberg listed three reasons he had assured himself, the first of which was:

‘I have retrieved documentation regarding the citizenship of my parents and grandparents from available family sources. Searches have been made of archival material available in Australia regarding my parents’ and grandparents’ citizenship.’

Video: Iranian gunboats point machine guns, swarm US warship

Last week, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) deployed gunboats in the Sea of Oman and swarmed around the U.S. Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS The Sullivans (DDG 68).

Footage of the encounter was released by Iranian media sources. The footage showed the IRGC gunboats swarming around an oil tanker and pointing machine guns at the nearby U.S. warship.

Iranian media outlets claimed the IRGC forces were stopping the U.S. from committing an act of “piracy” against an Iranian oil tanker, but that claim has been refuted by at least one U.S. official. The oil tanker in the video also appears to be a Vietnamese-flagged vessel called Sothys.

Jerusalem Post reported the oil tanker was from Iran and that after Iran claimed the U.S. seized the tanker, the IRGC forces used helicopters to land on the tanker and take it back to Iran.

Newsweek reported a U.S. official denied that the U.S. destroyer was trying to capture the vessel and instead said the warship was merely responding to observe the incident.

“We’re refuting the Iranian claims that they prevented us from taking back this vessel,” the official said. “Here’s the bottom line: This occurred last week. U.S. naval forces in the Gulf of Oman observed Iranian naval forces seize this oil tanker.”

“There were over 10 Iranian fast boats that swarmed this thing,” the official added. “There was a helicopter seen flying around, and, bottom line, our forces responded to monitor the situation.”

The official also said that the U.S. had declined to officially address the incident last week, citing “sensitivities”. The official said, “Iran is now spinning this against us, saying that they prevented us from taking back this vessel when it’s very clear that our forces were simply there monitoring.”

The U.S. has previously confiscated several tankers attempting to export Iranian oil, including to other sanctioned countries like Venezuela. In the past, Iran has been suspected of using oil tankers registered to other countries in an effort to circumvent sanctions. In January, the U.S. ordered the seizure of about 2 million barrels worth of suspected Iranian oil on board a Liberian-flagged vessel after the company that owns the tanker alerted the Department of Justice to a suspected fraudulent bill of lading.

ICC Launches Investigation Against Venezuela Over Crimes Against Humanity

The International Crime Court (ICC) is launching a formal probe — a first for Latin America — into alleged crimes against humanity committed in Venezuela under President Nicolas Maduro's rule.

International Criminal Court chief prosecutor Karim Khan said Wednesday that he was determined to open an investigation to "establish the truth" amid preliminary examination into abuse in 2018, according to an agreement signed by Khan and President Nicolas Maduro.

The ICC, urged by multiple Latin American nations opposed to Maduro, raised concerns of officials in Maduro's government taking part in the alleged crimes against humanity.

The memorandum, that was shared by the government Wednesday, indicated that the government did not think the situation in the country "justifies the movement from the preliminary examination phase to a investigation phase."

"The preliminary examination that opened in 2018 is nothing more than a filtering stage as we move into this new stage," Khan said during an event broadcast on state television.

The British prosecutor said he was aware of the political "fault lines" and geopolitical divisions" that surround Venezuela, but vowed to not tolerate any interference in the investigation.

Joe Miguel Vivanco, director of Human Rights Watch's Americas division, shared the news on Twitter Wednesday saying that this decision gave "hope of justice to the hundreds of victims of brutal repression by the Maduro regime."

During ICC's visit to the South American nation, small demonstrations broke out over the last few days outside the Intelligence Services Headquarters in Caracas, demanding an audience with Khan, and following Amnesty International's earlier remarks that a delayed probe put "victims, survivors, and human rights defenders at greater risk of retaliation."
