At that range, ballistically identical. In fact .223 is often the better choice with a wider selection of loadings. With an identical bullet, the results would be identical.

M193 gets almost all it's velocity by 16". It looked like a light bullet from the instant upset…55gr or something faster. Who knows, 5.56 does interesting things (to include .223) depending on the stability of the projectile and it's yaw rate at impact. Whatever it was, it blew a steak out of that dipshit's arm. He's lucky it didn't hit an inch lower and shatter the humerus and dissect it.
