New Jersey double-counted votes in deep-blue county as governor’s race on knife edge

New Jersey has corrected a mysterious error which saw early votes from one of the state’s most heavily Democratic counties counted twice. Revised numbers gave Republican Jack Ciattarelli a slight lead over incumbent Phil Murphy.

The state was found to have double-counted early votes in Hudson County, one of the most strongly “blue” counties in New Jersey. The adjustment saw incumbent Democrat Murphy lose 10,732 votes, while challenger Ciattarelli lost 2,842.

The two remained in a dead heat as of Wednesday afternoon, both polling at 49.6%, with Ciattarelli edging out his opponent by less than 1,000 votes.

The error was discovered as votes were still being tallied following Tuesday’s elections. It was the first year early in-person voting was offered in New Jersey, and the added layer of votes on top of Election Day turnout and mail voting appeared to contribute to the chaos bogging down the count.

While it’s not entirely clear why the state has taken so long to total its votes, there were numerous foul-ups at polling sites, including mishaps with new voting machines.

Some 56 districts failed to count votes on Tuesday night, with officials blaming “poll worker error.” The districts’ voting machines can’t even be opened until a judge issues an order, meaning it could be some time before New Jersey sees its final vote tallies. An Essex County clerk warned New Jersey residents not to “jump to conclusions” as to why the machines were shut down without first having their votes counted.

Five election districts in Paterson saw similar snafus as election officials “accidentally locked” the voting machines, and they too will require a court order to extract the vote counts.

Despite the lack of clarity, many on social media were quick to cry fraud with regard to both the Hudson County double-count and other apparent anomalies, including irregularities in wealthy Bergen County in the north of the state.

Kentucky college president fired following sexual assault allegations

The board of trustees announced that it initiated investigations into the claims made by several women, as well as employed outside counsel to conduct the inquiry.

A Kentucky college president was fired Tuesday following accusations of sexual assault by numerous female employees.

According to The Hill, Georgetown College's board of trustees announced the firing of President William Jones, effective Monday.

The board said in a statement that it "was informed of allegations of a sexual assault of a female College employee, inappropriate behavior with another female College employee, and other conduct in violation of Jones’s employment agreement with the College."

The board also announced that it initiated investigations into the claims made by several women, and that it employed outside counsel to conduct the inquiry.

"Georgetown College does not tolerate violence or misuse of authority. We hold our administrators, students and faculty to the highest standards of moral and ethical conduct. We are surprised and deeply disappointed by what we have learned," said Robert Mills, the chairman of the board of trustees.

"We will support the members of our Georgetown College family who are directly impacted, and we will work cooperatively with ongoing or any future investigations. We are confident in the leadership of Acting President Allen and the Board appreciates her dedication to the continuing mission of Georgetown College during this difficult time," he concluded.

The college's provost Rosemary Allen was named the acting president until the board hires a new one.

NJ Election Chaos: 56 Voting Machines Shut Down Overnight Without Votes Being Counted, Will Have to Be Brought to Warehouse

Fifty-six districts in Essex County, New Jersey, have not posted election results after a problem with voting machines that led to them being shut down until a judge intervenes.

News 12 New Jersey spoke with Essex County Clerk Christopher Durkin regarding the details of the mysterious voting shutdown.

“Those machines are at the polling places right now,” Durkin said.

“Those machines have to be brought back to the warehouse. A judge will issue an order for us to open those machines, retrieve the results and post those results.”

The results from the precincts in and near Newark are unlikely to be determined on Wednesday, according to the report.

“We need to compile a list of the results that are missing then need to schedule a hearing in front of a judge and then the judge issued the order and then we’re able to go and retrieve those results,” Durkin explained.

Five additional voting districts in Paterson, New Jersey, were also impacted, according to the report.

The voting machine problems may be attributed to the change from paper ballots to digital voting. A video on Sunday provided New Jersey voters with a detailed explanation of the process.

The uncounted Essex County votes could prove to be a vital part of determining the winner of the state’s gubernatorial race.

The latest election updates show incumbent Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy and Republican candidate Jack Ciattarelli separated by less than one percent of the votes.

How The Massive Money Manager BlackRock Endangers U.S. Prosperity And National Security

The company is contributing to corporate leftism, high gas prices, low-quality airline service, and the housing shortage. BlackRock is also risking our national security with its ties to China.

BlackRock is a big, powerful company that most Americans know little about. It manages almost $10 trillion, and the vast majority of its investing is done “passively,” meaning the money is invested in indexes of stocks and no stock-by-stock selection occurs. BlackRock manages money for large institutions and pensions. Just about everyone reading this has money, or knows someone who has money directly or indirectly in a BlackRock account.

Despite BlackRock passively investing for most clients, it wields immense power — both over the companies whose shares it holds, and through them over the American economy. This is because, even though BlackRock is not the ultimate owner of the shares it manages, it can vote those shares on behalf of its clients.

That tremendous voting power enables BlackRock to exert extraordinary influence over corporate management and policy. Those corporations are themselves often behemoths like Exxon and Microsoft. Moreover, BlackRock functions in an intensely oligopolistic environment. Only three other asset managers — Fidelity, Vanguard, and State Street — begin to compare with it in size and heft, and it is the biggest of them all.

BlackRock Touches Almost Everyone’s Daily Life

BlackRock is a major cause of corporate leftism in America, using its power to push for left-wing political priorities. In the just-completed third quarter of 2021 alone, BlackRock opposed the reelection of 800 company directors. In just one example, because of BlackRock’s leverage, big American oil company Exxon is considering dropping several drilling projects due to BlackRock removing board members and installing new members — despite the globe objectively being underinvested in energy production. If your gas costs more, think BlackRock.

BlackRock also contributes to the economy’s monopoly problem. Despite the unfortunate consolidation of power within a few large companies, the largest companies in a single industry should still be competing with each other head-to-head on price and quality. Thus, American Airlines, Delta, and United should all be seeking to provide better or less-expensive service to air passengers.

But BlackRock and the other big asset managers have “cross-holdings” in all of the largest players in the industry, a consequence of passive investing. Indeed, BlackRock and the other asset managers are often the biggest shareholders in each of an industry’s largest firms.

When this situation was analyzed in the airline industry, researchers found higher prices (less competition) on routes between two competing airlines when the airlines both counted the same “passive” manager as their largest stockholder (Eric Posner and Glen Weyl survey the evidence in their book “Radical Markets”). So: if your air carrier loses your bags, provides shoddy service, or charges you too much, think BlackRock.

Scott Morrison leaked a 15-page US government document to embarrass President Joe Biden

Scott Morrison leaked a 15-page US government document to embarrass President Joe Biden, but the Australian media are totally focused on French President Emmanuel Macron calling Scott Morrison a liar and Morrison then leaking text messages. Given our trade and defence ties with the US are the most important we have then the leaking of the 15-page report could likely end up being a lot more damaging than the controversy with France.

The leaking of the 15-page USA government document report has only been reported by the ABC’s 7.30 Report on Tuesday (2/11/21) at this stage to my knowledge which I have also reported in the below video that I published on Wednesday (3/11/21):

The fight with the French will take years to mend:

Elysée officials have expressed fury at the decision of Australian prime minister, Scott Morrison, to leak a private text message from the French president, Emmanuel Macron, as the diplomatic rift between the two countries deepened.

“Confidence has been completely shattered,” a close adviser to Macron told French media on Tuesday. “Disclosing a text message exchange between heads of state or government is a pretty crude and unconventional tactic.” (Click here to read more)

Scott Morrison has a long history of leaking and bullying, especially against women such as Brittany Higgins, Grace Tame, Christine Holgate and Julia Banks who Morrison wanted to silence and undermine, so it is no surprise Morrison has used his standard strategy against Joe Biden and Emmanuel Macron. (Click here to read more)

I am no fan of Malcolm Turnbull and he has a lot of questions to answer over the submarine deal that he originally signed off on which I have previously written about (Click here to read more) but I do agree with him saying: “I’ll tell you what Scott Morrison has done. He has sacrificed Australian honour, Australian security and Australian sovereignty”

As I said in the above video the scandal will continue to grow and some in the Australian media are happy to push Scott Morison’s propaganda and lies to try and help him out of the huge hole he has dug for himself. But I cannot see the American government letting it ride and they will take some sort of action against Scott Morrison for leaking and lying but that might be behind closed doors to avoid a public fight which the world is watching Scott Morrison having with the French.

Morrison’s history of lying and leaking is likely at a far higher level than our most recent Prime Ministers but doing it on the world stage causing diplomatic scandals is taking the lies to a whole new level of scandal. It doesn’t matter how you look at it, Scott Morrison, in his around the world in 7 days tour, has managed to challenge for the title of the most hated person in the world. The biggest problem is our country will be paying for Scott Morrison’s corruption for generations to come.

Drug Addicts Complain Heroin Was Replaced With Chinese Fentanyl Around Time Of Biden’s Afghanistan Withdrawal

Could the developments be related?

A viral story published by Vice News exposed a new problem faced by those who are unfortunately addicted to heroin: Their drug of choice is being replaced with Chinese fentanyl, and it started in September.

In a piece of impressive length featuring interviews with an equally impressive number of heroin addicts and experts, Vice News broke the news that there is apparently a nationwide heroin shortage. It does not appear to be caused by Joe Biden’s supply chain shortage, however.

No, it turns out that good, old fashioned Made-in-Afghanistan heroin was recently replaced with Chinese fentanyl that is imported with greater ease and at lower cost than its previously dominant weaker competitor.

Heroin addicts and their advocates have complained that the China’s relentless capitalistic pursuit of market share over the opiate market, at the expense of heroin, is resulting in more opiate deaths. It is apparently much easier to overdose on fentanyl than it is heroin.

The article profiles an unfortunate man identified as Garrett who drove as many as four hours per day to buy as little as a gram of the illicit drug. Vice explains that Garrett actually moved to a different town to be closer to his heroin connections only to have the drug become impossible to find.

“He hasn’t come across any heroin since September,” reported Vice News. “It’s been entirely replaced with fentanyl, a synthetic opioid that’s up to 50 times more potent.” The situation is apparently worse on the East Coast, where heroin has been impossible to find for some time.

Many Americans have heard jokes about heroin coming from Afghanistan despite the United States occupying the country for nearly 20 years, but the country is indeed one of the world’s top exporters of the drug.

In 2019, under United States occupation, Afghanistan exported nearly 80% of the world’s supply of heroin. More than 120,000 people in Afghanistan were employed in the growth or manufacturing of the illicit drug, and the process contributed up to 11% of Afghanistan’s economy, according to the BBC.

However, Vice claims that Europe has thus far been spared the onslaught of Chinese fentanyl because of its land connection to Afghanistan. It is apparently still more expensive to import the more lethal drug from China, for now.

Vice News fails to note one major variable that almost certainly changed the heroin market in September of this year: Joe Biden withdrew from Afghanistan and allowed the Taliban to assume control of the country.

In the same stroke, it seems logical that Joe Biden opened the United States drug market up to Chinese drug dealers for the price of 13 U.S. Servicemembers who lost their lives, and the lives of foreign allies and Afghan civilians.
