I got to go on a free visit to the Shriner's Hospital in Chicago when I was in middle school for a birth defect I have. I used to go to the Shrine Circus every year when I was a kid.

My sister was in special education and her teacher was married to a Shriner. If the kids in her class got enough good days, they got to have a sleepover at her house. I am wondering if something happened to my sister during any of these times and if that's why she's so fucked up.
