I really have no idea if that rumor has any merit, but it is interesting to speculate. Again, did CG try to launder the bad name of Bush, or did Bush more soil the name of CG? Was Youngkin used by them to try an put an innocent face on the company? Did Youngkin SEE the dirty laundry and did he try to clean the place up?

Something a little different to consider, is that NJ has nearly statewide corruption. Virginia’s ‘issues’ are much more concentrated in the metros and DC bedroom communities in Northern Va. The rural parts of Virginia got a bit more riled up and made shittons of calls and complaints to their city mouse cousins.

As I headed out into the world, encountered innumerable inconsistencies in the big hospitals and Dr’s Offices. Simply stopped going to them and asking them what to do. Easier to look up an issue in old books and get simple ideas. If I’m only 80% accurate with self diagnosis and treatment, still figuring i’m waythefuck ahead over a Dr. or Hospital operating at less than 20% accuracy.
Absolutely credit my relatively robust natural immune system… to my first ten years running all around the neighborhood through muddy creeks, backwoods scraps and cuts, and uncountable skinned knees and shins with nothing more than scabs for bandaids.

Anon’s mother was a Trauma Center O.R. nurse. She was acutely aware of the horrible injuries children could get… and yet she still did not ‘protect’ us kids from any and all risky things.
She stopped me once when i tried making a trash bag parachute to jump off the garage with.
Anon’s parents only gave us a few chances to break the frames and axles before they stopped supporting our bad habits. We HAD to learn how to fix it, or drive better.
Anon’s 70s/80s childhood home was old Midwest mixed-use farmland, factories and 50’s era suburban sprawl… the local Government was then still very good at discouraging ‘trash’ and keeping the streets, sidewalks and dead end roads clean-ish. We could still find or come across drug dens, burnt out cars or buildings… but it was part of the learning curve. Some didn’t survive, but for the most part WE ALL were much stronger and aware because of it.
