Agree kids had it much better, but in partial defense of modern parents there weren't so many junkies leaving their needles on the sidewalks and playgrounds.
(in fact not just their needles, sometimes the fuckers are living there)
we had it better, but mainly because the government (local city and upwards) kept things a lot better
