Rather not.
Prosecution tried to introduce character evidence ("Huber was a peaceful, even heroic person").
Defense countered saying if the prosecution is to proceed with that, they in turn will introduce evidence of two prior convictions of Huber proving he had a violent & evil character.
So the prosecution decided better not to take that risk.
