This was obvious from the start and any good insurgency or counter-insurgency would have this a primary, initial objective unless unassailable blocks in place. At least a competing platform other than a rogue public image board. But there must be a reasonable explanation.

Canceling all things Christmas HAS ALWAYS been a primary objective for [them]. This was clear after VIACOM sued and won a copyright infringement against "It's a Wonderful Life", the perennial,, formerly ubiquitous, wholesome yuletide favorite. The shaky compd judge court held that the movie, a staple of the public domain, was actually an infringement of the storyline of a book "God's Greatest Gift" which copyright of VIACOM had greedily gobbled up beforehand. The court case, circa late '90s, effectively took IAWL off every t.v. station except for NBC which entered into an a licensing agreement with VIACOM to "only show the Movie" a few times (or not at all) during Christmas. It would be hard determining any "market forces" at play here as the Movie HAS ALWAYS BEEN IN GREAT DEMAND. Lost potential advertising profits are astronomical as Mockingbird pulled a bait and switch with the innocuously popular "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out, Kid!" anti-Christmas Movie where Christmas dinner is had in a Chinese Restaurant which is, of course, open on that Holiest of Days.
*This should have been last bread's notable about the Nutcracker being RACIST. Sorry anons….pre-java morning
>Nutcracker is CANCELED due to it being found RACIST (pb)

The rationale for the limited airing of America's Favorite Christmas Movie in NBC/VIACOMMS exclusive licensing agreement was "because it is such a classic and wonderful Movie, the "message" would become trivialized with nonstop airing of the Movie on EVERY CANNEL during the two-week run-up to Christmas! Mighty noble of VIACOM and NBC, huh?
