ABBA

Annon here doing a little word etymology in alternate spellings.

Grimms and Verners law of consonant shift of Germanic languages with substitutions using the Latin alphabet in place of the phonetic bilabial voiced fricative. Germanic "B" is a voiced fricative that became "V" ) in English via lenition. Likewise "V" became "F" (unvoiced). The sound shifts among these letters can be seen throughout several European languages.

Due to the Latin influence of some English words "B" "W" and "V" with "F": to a lesser extent in Latin sound shifts resulted such as i.e. Bill = Will ( William / W(v)ilheim or Vasque (Vasquez)= Basque ,Volk = Folk

etc.

ABBA = A V V A

AVV

Replacing the "B" with "V" = AVVA

The name Avva occurs just one time in the Bible. It's a city in the realm of the Assyrian king ( Capitol) during the time of the exile.
