I propose that one of the key scenes from The Hunt for Red October was Alec brainstorming on how 007 was going to get his crew off the ship. He knew they wouldn’t all want to defect but couldn’t see how you could get those sailors to want to abandon a nuclear sub.

We face a similar issue with the unawake left. We need them to want to abandon their stars, their authorities. I believe some how they’re going to get convinced they’ve injected themselves and their families with something they shouldn’t have. Betrayed by those they trust the most, but also aware that if they just thought for themselves it all could have been avoided.
