This guy is wanted by the FBI for being at the Jan. 6 protest and supposedly punching a cop. Knowing the state of the justice system, he has since left the country and sought asylum in Belarus.
In Belarus they are treating him like a hero.

That's the latest travesty in these cases, don't you know? They allow the 'mob' to dictate the terms, in essence. Social media, or literal rioters, frequently influence the outcome of these things. Judge feels like he doesn't want to piss off the mob and cause a riot. Witnesses afraid to say what they think or what they saw.
Social pressure, it's the new norm. There is no justice with this kind of pressure.
