Mindset. Mindset matters. Stop depending on gov to meet your needs and tend to yourself. Prepare yourself, and your abode, to protect you from the elements. There are all types of devices available today to do so - to use in emergency. May not be the most pleasant experience, but at least you can keep yourself warm, or cool, enough.
