Martin Luthor barely knew anything about Christ (some rumors claim he possibly never heard the name Jesus) until he read the bible for himself - his church only preached that they must only ever call upon their patron saint (of mining, forgot the name) or perhaps Mary (for matters relating to children) - that was it.

anyway, asking a roman catholic to read the bible is akin to asking a dog to ride a bicycle - it's not that the dog probably can't ride the bike, it's because the dog has zero comprehension of what you are saying and is only waiting for you to throw the stick.
