Dunno how other lawfags feel, but the only way I'd let my client on the stand in a criminal trial is AFTER many, many cross-exam prep sessions.
Not opposed to it. But no way I'd do it without that.
Direct exam is scripted, it's gonna be ok.
Cross is different.
These prosecutors do not appear ready.
Can't fault them for yesterday's cross exam - that was all the defense attorney's work. Couldn't be avoided, they're the only witnesses the prosecution had to work with anyway.
