Idk, guess the woke people are trying to awake the others. On March, 6th, this year Alice Weidel (AfD) met with Bannon. Weidel just held her first speech in the German Bundestag. It ended with "…you can say that Germany is ruled by idiots."
Most Germans know that something's off, but they won't vote for the AfD.
