New DHS Bulletin Warns ‘Domestic Extremists’ Are Pushing Violence Against Congress, School and Health Officials

The Department of Homeland Security is preparing to release a new ‘anti-terror’ bulletin warning that domestic extremists are pushing violence against Congress, school and health officials.

“Extremists have called for attacks on elected officials, political representatives, government facilities, law enforcement, religious communities, commercial facilities and perceived ideological opponents.” – the bulletin read according to NBC News.

The bulletin claims extremists may be angered if new Covid vaccine mandates are imposed: “anti-government violent extremists could potentially use the new restrictions as a rationale to target government or public health facilities.”

NBC News reported:

The new National Terrorism Advisory System bulletin is expected to be released Wednesday afternoon, according to officials familiar with it. It replaces an existing bulletin published in August, which said that “ethnically motivated violent extremists and anti-government/anti-authority violent extremists will remain a national threat priority for the United States.”

The new document includes a lot of the same language, according to a senior official who has read it. But it speaks to some new developments, including the exploitation of the American withdrawal from Afghanistan by both foreign terrorists and domestic racists.

In general, the bulletin continues, “threats include those posed by individuals and small groups engaged in violence, including domestic violent extremists and those inspired or motivated by foreign terrorists and other malign foreign influences. These actors continue to exploit online forums to influence and spread violent extremist narratives and promote violent activity.”

The ongoing pandemic continues to be a spark for violent rhetoric, DHS found, especially by those angered by mask and vaccine mandates and restrictions on normal activity.

Foreign intelligence services, foreign terrorist organizations and domestic violent extremists “continue to introduce, amplify and disseminate narratives online calling for violence,” the bulletin says.

In August, the DHS released a bulletin warning of an ‘increasing but modest’ threat of violence related to an online ‘conspiracy theory’ that Trump will be reinstated.

The DHS also conceded there is no specific evidence of a credible plot.

Moderna to test COVID-19 vaccine on infants as young as 6 months old

Biotechnology company Moderna Therapeutics will soon begin large-scale testing of its COVID-19 vaccine on infants.

The vaccine clinical trial, called KidCOVE, is being carried out at 79 locations across 13 states and will involve roughly 13,275 participants between the ages of 6 months and 11 years old in its entirety.

The first phase — which has already been completed — involved children between the ages of 6 years to less than 12 years old. The study is now reportedly in its second phase, during which children between the ages of 2 years to less than 6 years old will undergo testing. The third and final stage will test the vaccine on children ages 6 months to less than 2 years old.

In August, trial administrators reportedly amassed all the participants they needed for each stage.

Participants in the clinical trial are given two injections in the upper arm about 28 days apart and are then asked to return with their guardian to the study site for at least four follow-up appointments over the next 13 months, according to KidCOVE.

"The primary purpose of the KidCOVE Study is to test the safety and effectiveness of the study vaccine, called mRNA-1273, that may protect children between the ages of 6 months to < 12 years from getting sick if they come into contact with SARS-CoV-2, which causes COVID-19," KidCOVE's website states.

Just the News reported that the controversial study has only received sporadic media attention so far, citing local news coverage in Miami and Charlotte about participants. The outlet added that the testing is being undertaken despite the fact that most public health experts agree that the risk for children infected with COVID-19 is very low.

Vaccine administration in children has been a hot-button issue in America for several months. Those opposed to giving COVID-19 vaccines to children argue it is unnecessary due to the virus' negligible effect on them. But proponents, like Dr. Bill Hartman, the co-principal investigator of the clinical trial at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, say vaccine administration in children is "the final frontier" in the fight against the pathogen.

"Our very youngest children need to get the vaccine and we need to make sure they are safe," he said in a press release issued on Monday "The kids participating are heroes. They will be able to tell the story of how they helped save the world."

The charges follow a long-running investigation by officers from the Anti-Corruption Command examining allegations of corruption by police licensing officers in Westminster, and inappropriate relationships between police officers and people running local businesses.

A file was initially passed to the Crown Prosecution Service in December 2017 and following further work, eight people have now been charged.

Jonathan Mantz – Hillary Clinton’s former Finance Director who’s “raised nearly half a billion dollars over his career for Democratic campaigns” – is now a lobbyist for the American Chamber of Commerce in South China, which seeks to craft policies favorable to American companies doing business in China and routinely partners with the Chinese Communist Party to do so.

Jonathan Mantz, a Principal at BGR Group, “leads the firm’s Democratic outreach efforts,” according to his professional bio and serves as a member of the Finance Committee of the Democratic Governors Association.

“Over the past three decades, Jonathan has held senior positions to elect Democrats to the White House, Senate, House of Representatives and governorships. A leading political strategist, he has raised nearly half a billion dollars over his career for Democratic campaigns,” the summary adds, including positions such as the National Finance Director for then-Senator Hillary Clinton’s 2008 Presidential campaign.

Mantz has also served as the Finance Director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) under Nancy Pelosi.

Following his long stint in Democratic politics, Mantz is now lobbying on behalf of the American Chamber of Commerce in South China. Lobbying registration documents reveal Mantz is lobbying the National Security Council (NSC) and providing “strategic counsel on bilateral issues.”

The chamber counts its primary objective as “promot[ing] the development of trade, commerce, and investment between the United States and the People’s Republic of China” and includes over 2,000 corporations as members. “Through engaging in dialogue with our more than 2,300 members, we formulate policy objectives that represent the immediate interests of the Chamber as a whole, and then pursue them at the local, regional and national levels in the United States and the People’s Republic of China,” asserts the group.

Prosecutor Says Rioter Was Justified In ‘Stomping’ Rittenhouse’s Head Because All He Used ‘Was One Foot’

Prosecutor insinuates rioters were justified to assault Rittenhouse with intent to inflict bodily harm, and that he should not have been allowed to defend himself.

During an exchange during the ongoing Kyle Rittenhouse homicide trial on Wednesday, Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger justified the actions of a rioter who attempted to stomp Rittenhouse’s head in, telling jurors “All he uses is one foot, correct?” Binger repeatedly downplayed the actions of rioters who attempted to strike, kick, stomp, bludgeon with a skateboard, and shoot the teen, while mocking the idea that Rittenhouse was legally justified to defend himself with deadly force.

BINGER: “If you hit him with one of those [shots] wouldn’t you agree it’s a pretty strong likelihood you’re gonna kill him?”

RITTENHOUSE: “I don’t know.’

BINGER: “Did that even factor into your mind at that point? Did you care whether you were gonna kill him or not?”

RITTENHOUSE: “I didn’t want to have to kill anybody, I was being attacked, that’s why I shot him – shot at him.”

BINGER: “You shot at him with the intent of hitting him and killing him, correct?”

RITTENHOUSE: “I didn’t want to kill anybody.”

BINGER: “Then why are you shooting at someone with an AR-15 at close range, if you don’t want to kill him?”

RITTENHOUSE: “Because he’s attacking me and stomping my face in and jumping and kicking my face.”

BINGER: “You didn’t see any weapons on that person, did you? You didn’t see a gun, you didn’t see a knife, you didn’t see a bat or a club, all he uses is one foot, correct?”

USA and China make surprise pledge on climate cooperation

The world's top two carbon polluters, China and the USA, have pledged to increase their cooperation on climate action in a joint declaration issued at UN climate talks in Glasgow.

In separate news conferences, Chinese climate envoy Xie Zhenhua and US counterpart John Kerry said the two countries would work together to accelerate the emissions reductions required to meet the temperature goals of the 2015 Paris Agreement on climate change.

"The whole point of this is that the steps we're taking we believe can answer questions people have about the pace at which China is going and help China and us to be able to accelerate our efforts," Mr Kerry said.

Governments agreed in Paris to jointly reduce emissions enough to keep the global temperature rise "well below" 2C since pre-industrial times, with a more stringent target of trying to keep warming to 1.5C preferred.

Both sides recognise that there is a gap between efforts taken globally to reduce emissions and the goals of the Paris deal, Mr Xie said.

"So we will jointly strengthen climate action and cooperation with respect to our respective national situations," he said.

The joint declaration came as governments from around the world were negotiating in Glasgow about how to build on the Paris Agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect vulnerable countries from the impacts of global warming.

A draft deal released today calls for pulling the plug on coal power, the single biggest source of man-made greenhouse gas emissions.

The early version of the final document also expresses "alarm and concern" about how much Earth has already warmed and urges countries to cut carbon dioxide emissions by about half by 2030. Pledges so far from governments don't add up to that frequently stated goal.

Defense Moves for Mistrial in Kyle Rittenhouse Case; Judge to Prosecutor: ‘I Don’t Believe You!’

The defense in the murder trial of Kyle Rittenhouse in Kenosha, Wisconsin, moved Wednesday afternoon for a mistrial based on the prosecution’s violations of the defendant’s rights and the judge’s previous rulings about admissible evidence.

Defense attorney Corey Chirafisi asked Judge Bruce Schroeder to declare a mistrial “with prejudice,” which would prevent prosecutors from bringing the charges again. That provision, Chirafisi claimed, was necessary to prevent prosecutors from deliberately ruining their own case to get “another kick at the cat.” He said that prosecutors, led by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger, had acted in “bad faith” — a key element of dismissal with prejudice.

The motion came after a lunch break, and after Judge Schroeder had admonished the prosecution that it had committed a “grave constitutional violation” by referring to Rittenhouse’s previous silence, which conflicts with his Fifth Amendment right to remain silent.

Earlier, the following exchange took place:

Defense attorney: Your Honor — I don’t want the jury to hear — he’s commenting on my client’s right to remain silent.

Prosecutor: No, Your Honor. I am making the point that after hearing everything in the case, now he’s tailoring his story to what has already been introduced.

Judge: The problem is, this is a grave constitutional violation for you to talk about the defendant’s silence, and that is — and you’re right on the borderline, and you may be over it. But it better stop.

Prosecutor: Understood.

Judge: This is — I can’t think of the case, the initial case on it. But this is not permitted.

There was another interruption later, when the judge admonished the prosecution for discussing excluded evidence.

In his defense, Binger said that Rittenhouse, who took the stand in his own defense, commented on some of the excluded material.

Judge Schroeder berated Binger again, saying that he had been trying to find a way around his previous rulings. “When you say that you had been acting on good faith, I don’t believe that,” he said.

The judge reserved judgment on the motion.

Later, when the prosecution argued for the admission of a photograph into evidence showing Rittenhouse wearing a shirt with an expletive on it, the judge noted that Rittenhouse is not on trial for “exquisitely bad judgment” or “behaving in a very offensive way,” but for murder.

Documents from the Clinton administration confirm the slavishly pro-Western policies of the post-Soviet criminal oligarchy

Fifteen years after the then unknown Vladimir Putin took over the Russian presidency, analysts still puzzle over how he arrived in the position. Newly declassified documents from President Bill Clinton’s administration, released to bne IntelliNews, show how Putin's candidacy was a compromise after a fierce battle for power in Russia between pro-US oligarchs and pro-state conservatives. Russia's 'oligarchy' took power during Yeltsin’s re-election in 1996, when they used his reliance on funding from Russia's leading seven bankers to acquire the cream of the country's resource-producing assets.

According to the documents from the Clinton administration, which were released under a mandatory declassification review, one of the chief ideologists of Russia's freshly minted oligarch system was Russian-Israeli banker and media magnate, Vladimir Gusinsky, owner of Most Bank and TV channel NTV.

Gusinsky came to a November 1996 lunch meeting with US embassy officials with an important message: the oligarchs were here to stay – but they should not be feared by the US. Oligarchy was a fitting governance system for Russia, and would put the country on a pro-US course.

"Russia, Gusinsky explained, was not a democratic or a European country; it is an Asiatic country," he said, according to embassy records, with Gusinsky's name redacted but implicit. "The country was run by an oligarchy, of which businessmen like him were an integral part, and would be for some time," Gusinsky told the US diplomats.

"Our friends in the West" had been right to criticise the oligarchs in the past, he said, but now they had taken on "responsibilities for Russia's national interests”.

Gusinsky "did not deny that many Russian businessmen, including himself, had engaged in dubious activities, especially as they were setting up their operations and accumulating capital”, he told the diplomats. "Nevertheless, a number of big businessmen had now emerged – for example, Berezovsky's seven bankers [Boris Berezovsky himself, Vladimir Gusinsky, Mikhail Fridman, Vladimir Vinogradov, Aleksandr Smolensky, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, Vladimir Potanin] – who were so big and influential that they no longer had to engage in such activities and no longer did," the document reads. Gusinsky claimed that allegations of oligarchs' links to organised crime were spread by Russia's security services, with the aim of stemming capital flight.

New photos of guns and cash in Bulgarian ex-PM Borissov’s bedroom published days before election

New photos sent to local media on November 9 showed Bulgaria’s former prime minister Boyko Borissov sleeping in a state residence with a significant sum in euro banknotes in the drawer next to his bed and a handgun on top of his bedside table.

The photos were distributed just days ahead of the November 14 snap general election. Borissov’s Gerb party, which ruled the country for 12 years, is set to win the election but with less than a quarter of all votes and would have a hard time finding coalition partners for a fourth mandate.

The photos were sent by an anonymous sender to the Euro Dikoff talk show with an email saying the move was provoked by the lack of activity by the prosecution since the first set of gangster-style photos were distributed in June 2020, when Borissov was still in power.

Back then, local media received anonymous photographs of Borissov sleeping in his bedroom next to a Glock 9mm handgun and a drawer full of €500 bills and gold bars. The former prime minister confirmed their authenticity, saying they were taken in the residence he was using as premier.

Since then Bulgaria’s caretaker government has launched numerous probes into corruption under Borrisov’s former administration. The interim government also launched a wide-reaching overhaul of the state administration and institutions, but this put it into open conflict with the prosecution, headed by Ivan Geshev, who was appointed through a controversial procedure while Borissov’s Gerb party was in power.

“We waited for more than a year to see if anyone in the prosecutor’s office would check how and why a Bulgarian prime minister has organised robberies in all economic sectors, orgies at a government residence, hid bundles and gold in his bedroom (also seized from highway construction) and sleeps with a gun to his head – the zero result is known to all, so today we are organising a “Day of Reflection before the Day of Reflection” – because if we do not show him on Sunday that his place is out of power and in prison, there may be no next chance,” the sender of the photos wrote in his letter to Euro Dikoff.

Analysis carried out by investigative news portal Bird.bg showed the photos were taken in mid-July, 2018, on May 8, 2020 and June 11, 2017. Two of the photos lacked metadata providing information on the date they were taken, Bird.bg wrote on Facebook.

“Evening financial news. According to financial analysts the most secure place for your money at the moment is the drawer of Borissov, because it is being guarded personally by the prosecution. You want to keep your money there? Congratulations, you already are,” PR expert Radoslav Bimbalov commented on Facebook.

In 2020, the original photos of Borissov sleeping next to the cash and the gun were distributed amid mass anti-government protests. At the time, they seriously shook Borissov and his government but the prime minister refused to resign. The protests were marked by police violence and arrests of dozens of people.
