Some symbolic interpretation of the "astro" issue for your consideration. "Why all this 'astro'?", people are asking.

The end scenes, for which there is not currently any fully satisfactory interpretation - part of the message here is the "space" which Dave is "given" by "the monolith". The spartan, strange, hotel-like "space". They resent Dave's space
Hilton monolith hotel → built in-line with WTC, rooms were decorated like Dave's "space" until the remodel after 9/11.

Consider the "vac" in "vaccine". Vac-seen. The past tense of see. Holy see, DC, london eye.All the city states have a "see".
Lennon quipped in "yellow submarine", sea of holes = holey sea. Jeremy; of neverending puns. Like holey sea, DC, london eye, etc, etc, and all of it.
Yellow submarine hates batman, hates certain numbers; applies both concepts to the "blue meanies", which are also linked to El/gravity by the use of dropping apples as weapon. Kubrick's longtime assistant wrote it and there is considerable discussion of time travel. It is largely hidden because it comes from the days when blue was their "bad" and red was their "good", which they flipped since ~1992.
Likewise the "vid" in "covid", this is latin for "to see", we recognize it from "video". "covid vaccine" has 2 "sees" and one "space".
