Dichotomy:

I am going to sperg a little becos I know some of you are in the same boat. You get to a place where mortgages are done, cash has stacked, you are tired, and you can taste walking away. It is right there.

Real estate appreciates. You realize that you are where your boss was 10 years ago. You have mega equity.

You dream of that day when you can hang it up. You calculate how much cash you need per month to get out early. You even realize that if you sell some of your shiat now, you can live out your years just burning down your cash.

Or do you semi-retire and work a part-time gig with full-time benefits and stay in the game?

But if you are here, you are prolly making some coin. You realize that if you stay in the game, retirement is gonna be funded regardless and you can piss some serious cash away.

What do you do?

Serious question to X and boomers that are either here or been there and called the ball.
