Non-boatfag observation…
The LA-LG port complex is off-loading arriving vessels…and then loading them up with empties…
But the ships are not going back to the Asian ports
Thoughts?
I've also noticed streams of trucks taking loaded containers into open yards around the port area…the containers are stacked into piles at the maximum height the container forklifts can reach
My thoughts are…
Why aren't these loaded containers being taken to the local deconsolidation warehouses?
And, why are they not being loaded onto rail cars for inland transfer?
