POSTING SCAM

Friend in USA takes parcel to post to me in Australia. Told by USPS no deliveries to Australia. USPS suggested UPS.

He asked me to ring Australia Post to confirm.

Just got off the phone.

Confirmed deliveries are being accepted into Australia from USA and there are no postal restrictions in place.

Australia Post Customer Service person suggested using UPS.

WHAT?

What a scam.

Have the postal services made a deal to split the profits on a scam?

Price: USPS $129.00

Price: UPS $308.00

Possible scenario… customer pays UPS $308.00.

USPS handles transaction and shipping to Australia. Cost: less than $129.00.

Customs/delivery in Australia by USP costs them WAY less than $308.00

USPS, AUS POST and UPS split profit.

Nice scam if I’m right.

Have advised my friend.

Let’s see if they take it when he goes back and challenge them.
