While debates go on around the world regarding the origins of COVID-19, the latest case numbers, its lethality, and the effectiveness of the so-called vaccines, the participants in these debates seem to take something for granted: that a virus actually exists. The vast majority of the public and the medical profession are unaware that the trojan horse is modern virology and its anti-scientific methods that assert the existence of viruses such as SARS-CoV-2. Most would be surprised to learnthat the “virus” has never been found inside a single human or shown to be the cause of any disease.

When law student Keith Rabois, a frequent contributor to the Review (and, like Thiel at the time, still very much in the closet), decided in 1992 to hurl homophobic slurs at a professor’s cottage as an exercise in free speech, Thiel didn’t discourage it.

And as with almost every other takedown in his life, he did it without personally pulling the trigger.
As anti-monopoly activist Matt Stoller told Chafkin: He’s “a nihilist, a really smart nihilist. He’s entirely about power — it’s the law of the jungle: ‘I’m a predator and the predators win.’ ”

Thiel was a German citizen by birth, and became an American citizen by naturalization.[164] He became a New Zealand citizen in 2011, which became public in 2017.[165] In 2015, he purchased a 193-hectare estate near Wānaka, which fitted the classification of "sensitive land" and required foreign buyers to obtain permission from New Zealand's Overseas Investment Office. Thiel did not require permission as he was a citizen.[166]
He had received permanent residency in New Zealand in 2007.[167][168] He had visited the country on four occasions prior to his application for citizenship,[169] and had spent 12 days in New Zealand, fewer than the typical residency requirement of 1350 days.[170] When he applied, he stated he had no intention of living in New Zealand, which is a criterion for citizenship.[171] Then-Minister of Internal Affairs Nathan Guy waived those normal requirements, under an "exceptional circumstances" clause of the Citizenships Act.[165][169][171]
